Marty I 100% disagree with you about Pollard extension a good thing. You say this will create the pressure to win on the field. My question is why wasn't there pressure to win before? How does a two-year extension make his seat warmer? The person who needs to be concerned is Greg McDermott. Gets players back and a decent recruiting class equals the largest expectations since he's been there and if he doesn't deliver Pollard has positioned himself to fire him and bring in someone else who will have enough time to turn the program around by 2014.

Why couldn't Iowa State just wait and see what progress the football and basketball teams make in the next two years before extending him?

Pleased with the accomplishments of the past few years. Please list those accomplishments that you are "pleased" with. Outside of Women's BB what can be considered a success and that wasn't even your success; its the only thing you have yet to destroy.

Where's the love for the Des Moines schools?

Wasn't it just a month or two ago he declined the Arizona job because he was excited about coaching at USC or something like that. Now a weeks later he says he's leaving because he has no enthusiasm.

Oh and my resignation has nothing to do with the OJ Mayo "allegation" that I gave some dude a grand in hard case to push him to USC. Sure thing coach.
