Gear Diary : Nuevasync - fast no software sync for Google calendar, contacts

I switched to this a few weeks ago (on my Moto Q9m) and I LOVE IT! I have not had to sync with my laptop since - a good thing, as that was always flaky.

Gear Diary : Verizon cellular network extender now shipping and in stores - $249

I actually am a Verizon user frustrated with coverage at my house. (Right now, VZW is being blocked from installing a new tower about a mile away by neighbors who think it will devalue their property, despite the fact that the tower will be placed next to a large, rusty, and particularly unattractive water tower. But, I digress.) I am frustrated, but not THAT frustrated (i.e., $250).

Gear Diary : Use Paypal's free disposable credit card number to manage recurring charges

I haven't tried this myself with PayPal, but some credit card companies offer this service as well. I have been using this for years now with Discover Card, which also has both a Windows app and a web based generator for a true, single use card number, and BoA/MBNA also has a service for their cards which lets you set up a specific amount and a specific number of months that a single card can last - so you can use the same number to pay for a Netflix subscription, say, with a limit to the exact amount of the subscription, so that if Netflix's numbers are stolen you do not need to worry about changing cards, etc. I think that they are great services.

Gear Diary : Nike Air Zoom Triax - $46 shipped (Nike+ iPod system)

Well, I tried the Amp+ watch control. It worked perfectly. It's always been an issue for me, since I generally listen to podcasts when I run and they generally are not all recorded at the same level, so I am always having to diddle with the volume. It was a big fat zero deg. F this morning and, with two layers of gloves on, I was able to adjust the volume up and down without a problem. I bought the last one that they had a local Best Buy for $40, which is still probably too much, but better than the list $80.
