Well, to be fair to our senators, if by "thinking like a legislator" you mean "not knowing how to prioritize and legislating for personal and political gain instead of for the good of the people", then I must say our dear senators think very well like legislators. ;)

Yeah, the DepEd does make some pretty silly decisions, huh? LOL. And I agree—the memories, experience and added knowledge one brings home from the NSPC, regardless of whether you won a trophy, are priceless.

Wow. Sorry to hear about your experience. My current hosting provider is Page.Ph and so far I've been quite satisfied with their service. A big-name hosting company like Hostgator or Bluehost might be more suitable for a site like yours, however.

Yes, Ruel Mindoro is the owner of PhilHosting. Says so on his LinkedIn page - http://www.linkedin.com/pub/dir/ruel/mindoro. With the way they treat their customers, I'm surprised the government doesn't have them on their radar yet. (Or not, with the way government works in this country.)
