You don't ask for much, do you? : )

Sorry, I'm not going to go through a years worth of comments. A couple of instances that I remember off hand of you twisting my words were, 1). in a debate about homosexual marriage, and, 2). a debate about how government is a tool that should be used to advance the market, not micro-manage it. As far as the other charge, I can't remember the specific instances, but since I have the e-mail notification feature on my account disabled, I'll rescind that accusation and assume that it took you a day or two to organize a response.

Good 'nuff?

Dementia didn't prevent Obama from winning in 2008.

No, that's a good one. It's the 17th that has to go. Of course, if it hadn't have been for the 22nd, Reagan would have easily won a third term, meaning that George H.W. Bush would have won in 92 instead of 88, and people would now be saying, "Bill who?"

Maybe if the Democrackers wouldn't keep people dependent on the government, there would be less poverty in this country. You do know that if the government subsidizes something, there is more of it, right? Why subsidize poverty just so a few progressive politicians can entrench themselves in powerful positions? You really need to get a clue as to how the real world works. Reading comic books in your mom's basement isn't going to get you there, Jay.

Hehe Yeah, I've heard of the Fryed Brothers. My ex-wife hooked up for a time with a guy who claimed to be one of their roadies. No, I never went to the Redwood Run, about the only organized event I used to attend regularly was the Feather River Run when the Vietnam Vets M/C ran it.

I didn't venture south of Sacramento too often, but Hwy 49 though Grass Valley was one of my favorite destinations. I also liked riding the Hwys 70, 89, 36, 32 loop through Belden and Chester, around Lake Almanor, with a final stop at the Bambi Inn at Butte Meadows for a burger and beer before heading home.

The coastal routes were OK, but there were too many RVs slowing things up, which was bad enough in itself, but the car drivers would get impatient with the RVs, and, well, you get the idea.

I think being older than some of my instructors and professors has been a plus. If you present things in a reasonable, coherent fashion, only the most die-hard fanatic can dismiss a logical argument without giving it any serious thought.

He probably got his numbers from this .... http://search.yahoo.com/r/_ylt=A0oG7m.lBDdP.isAbq...

Yeah, Wa Po, I know. Even the CBS link I provided tried to deflect Obama's numbers onto Bush, with the tax cuts and the financial crisis, failing to note that the dems were in charge of Congress during the period leading up to the collapse, and not one mention of Frank, Dodd, Raines, Fannie, or Freddie. Hell, lets just blame all of Bush's problems on Clinton. We'll start with the dot com bubble, and continue through with Clinton's passing on capturing Bin Laden when he had the chance.

Laughing? I figured your face hurt from wolfing down a whole package of Barney Franks.

You miss the context, dummy. Where are the privately owned insurance companies, the ones Obama is ordering to provide specific types of coverage, taking public money? This is NOT about taking public funds, this is a totalitarian thug in the White House bullying private businesses. Can I make it any clearer for you? Spell it out with wooden blocks, perhaps?

And once again, we're back to THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS GOVERNMENT MONEY. Understand that, and you'll be well on your way to becoming a better, more enlightened person. Or stay a dumbass left-wing insect, I don't really care.

To quote you ... "Yet, you cons spent 8 years defending him."

Why did you make this up? You attribute to me an action that I didn't take. Quit making stuff up.

What next, are you going to claim the moon is made out of green cheese? Back up your ridiculous claims with evidence. I'll be waiting .......

In the meantime ...

What I said about taxes is spot on. Government is a tool and taxes that come out of the market should be used by the government to aid the market, thus the government and the market join in a symbiotic relationship that grows the economy. When the government collects more taxes than is necessary, and uses those tax dollars to buy votes for certain politicians in the name of things like welfare and energy subsidies, then taxes are bad, and the tool of government has outgrown its usefulness, and becomes dangerous. You wouldn't use a chainsaw to trim your fingernails, would you?

Now show me where I defended Bush for eight years. You can't, because I didn't. He spent too much, but not as much as Obama. Your numbers are wrong, where did you get them? Out of your ass? Try these numbers from CBS ....

"The debt was $10.626 trillion on the day Mr. Obama took office. The latest calculation from Treasury shows the debt has now hit $14.639 trillion.

It's the most rapid increase in the debt under any U.S. president.

The national debt increased $4.9 trillion during the eight-year presidency of George W. Bush. The debt now is rising at a pace to surpass that amount during Mr. Obama's four-year term."

Of course, Obama goes on to blame Bush, but the buck is supposed to stop at Obama's desk, right? Obama also puts the Bush tax cuts in as part of the debt, but that is disingenuous. Taxes aren't the problem, spending is.
