by "this," i mean read the books first then went back and listened to the audiobooks

i was a fan from the start... i was one of those rabid fans who waited breathlessly at the bookstore on release day. i wonder if i'm alone in this but although the movies have always been enjoyable, they took a lot of the charm out of the books for me. the first three books blew my mind but by the 4th book, i wasn't as stoked. maybe because it took her longer to finish it, maybe the style had just shifted at that point, maybe i had such a different image in my head from what i saw in the movies, maybe a combination of all those things but the "magic" had left me.

from all the recommendations, it might be worth it to revisit the series as audiobooks and just go through them one right after the other. has anyone else done this?

duuuude i would have loved to have had this print with me for him to sign! but wait, would that be insulting, to show him a comic of me stabbing him in the face? probably so, huh?

it's a little heartbreakng to me how close (and yet so far) Austin is from here, because if ST: WoK was showing at a theater around here, i would have gone, and if they had done that stunt here instead of stinkin' Austin, then lots and lots of delighted squealing would have ensued.
