Here is another issue I have with this plastic bag ban. On the off ramp to I84 from I5 in Portland there is a poster with a bird wrapped in plastic. If anyone looks closely at this it is NOT a plastic grocery bag it is a dry cleaners garment bag. I believe those dry cleaner bags, newspaper plastic bags and others are not included in this ban, so what is the point exactly?? It is going make my grocery bill even higher than it is now and I can't afford it. Could our government focus on our terrible unemployment, and keep in mind we don't have anymore money to give them for rising taxes and fees, we are trying to survive with other rising expenses like groceries and gas. Could we stop wasting everyone's time and deal with REAL problems in our state. Stop making it so difficult for us to try to survive!

Have you lived here long?? Do you know Oregon has one of the highest tax rates in the country?? I think I am "stepping up and funding things" . The problem is I am funding an outrageous retirement system for government employees and pet projects from politicians.
Here is an idea?? Why don't you do a little research before you assume no one is willing to "step up and pay more taxes".
