Big Government : Wende Museum: Archive of the Cold War

will the Cold War really ever be remembered? It was the era that statism; the core conceit of progressive beliefs, was put to rest. Many hoped it would be put to death, but progressive ideology is a fervent secular religion and will not disappear until the believers see the horrors it brings. Give one man dominion over another and the root evils that drive the Lower Man will rise according to the power alloted. Take Josef Stalin. Perfect example. A true Lower Man, he embodied every negative trait one could ascribe to an individual- lust for power, envy, spite, jealousy and greed. Indeed, it was his undoing; his hatred and distrust of fellow man caused him to continually purge his most trusted lieutenants because of fear of overthrow. This is what happens when one cedes power to the State. We Americans far prefer evil to be embodied in an individual- no matter HOW wealthy they can be overthrown, or will destroy themselves through their own excesses. like William Randolph Hearst. Corrupt corporations can be brought to trial. But the Maos and Stalins and Hitlers will kill tens of millions before they go. The Cold War stands in mute success to these ideals...

Big Hollywood : Comedy Central's Keegan-Michael Key: 'If You Don't Like Michelle Obama ... You Can Go to Hell'

Michelle Obama and Eleanor Roosevelt. Now there's a twosome. All this shows is YET AGAIN progressive idiocy in full display in the so-called 'entertainment' world. Just who these talentless clowns think they entertain is another thing; humor and political correctness are not happy in coexistence. There are only so many Dick Cheney jokes one can tell before even liberal crowds start looking at their watches and ambling for the exits. But now we know who these guys are. And it is our loss...

Big Peace : Panetta: $32 Billion Defense Cuts Vital to Reducing $1.3 Trillion Deficit

no, it is vital to reducing the US to secondary power status. No cuts to entitlements, in debt up to our necks to the Chinese, and these draconian cuts to military readiness. Add to that Obama's newest suggestion that we reduce our nuclear arsenal by 80% That's right. EIGHTY PERCENT. Then take the implementation of the UN's Agenda 21, the coming constitutional 'crises' here with the concomittant violence and you have the Progressive dream of a powerless US and the implementation of World Government. It's all so clear...

your mouth to God's ears. This is just one of many scandals these people are neck deep in. Any means to an end, you know. And the GOP needs to 'grow a pair' because they are busy being neutered by the press who are using the 'alienating the moderates' ruse which they ALWAYS fall for. History has shown that the more conservative a candidate is in the general election the better he does, with the notable exception of Goldwater. But times have changed, and Reagan proved you can speak conservative sense to the people and they will rally around you. If Mitt doesn't get that clue, and soon, he will get his pocket picked by Santorum- and he could prove a disaster in the fall. Then all eyes will turn to Dr Paul, God help us...

Big Hollywood : 'Act of Valor' Stars Parachute to Premiere

well, finally a Friday afternoon matinee worth seeing. Last one was 'Moneyball', and before that that alien invasion love note to the USMC 'Battle: Los Angeles'. This promises to be far better stuff, a seamless blend between moviemaking magic and the real thing. As opposed to the 'reel thing' of, say the silly Bourne franchise. Even Obama calling them 'My SEAL's' will not deter us, nor dampen the enthusiasm. We truly admire our SEAL brethren, many of them passed though Ranger school to learn proper infantry tactics- and friends were made. So, get a bucket of popcorn and join us all for a nice opening weekend...

Big Journalism : Inside Media Matters: What Did Ben Smith Know and When Did He Know It?

the 'Daily Caller' is doing some very nice work on this whole thing. Even though it isn't 'sourced' in the classic sense- the people Tucker Carlson (or 'Chatsworth Osbourne the Third' as Rush Limbaugh calls him) interviews know damn well the reprisals they would face if 'outed'. But he got some terrific insight into louts like this guy Smith- and particularly Sargent. He was described as the perfect recepticle for any MediaMatters agitprop, no matter HOW poor the quality. He is considered a joke by his OWN people. Carlson, who has come a long way from the country club 'Muffy and Biff' GOP of his bow tie wearing youth, has hit a home run with this story on David Brock and his White House managed propaganda campaign. There will be more to come on this, too...

duh. Eric Holder is just a corrupt tool in a crooked toolbox. He will go nowhere; as some here say 'he knows where the bodies are buried' - in a figurative sense- and would be a dangerous source if turned. So, unless there is a photo- with his fingerprints on it- of him holding THE gun that killed the border agent, grinning- then he will, as said, go absolutely NOWHERE. Progressives have no pride; it is not part of a collective concious. He will stay until the bitter end...

Big Journalism : With Uygur Rant & Olbermann Tweet, Al Gore's Current TV Doubles Down on Absurd 'No Rapes at Occupy'

Teddy Roosevelt once said this: 'It is far easier to judge a man by his enemies than by his friends.' One of the nicer bits about George W Bush is the list of miscreants who hated the guy. Anybody who had that type of negativity thrust upon him by so many truly hateful people had to be doing something right. The same can be said about the intrepid Andrew Breitbart. His conversion from agnostic liberal Hollywood native to fire breathing rock ribbed conservative brings out the REAL hate in this crowd, as does his protege James O'Keefe. From what we can see, Mr Breitbart handles this with aplomb; he brushes it off as if it were an annoying fly, no more. And if you learn ANYTHING about the progressive/left it's this- they would FAR prefer being hated as to being ignored...

There is already predictive linguistics (The WebBot) that has an attack happening to the very same ship the first week of March. This would, of course do several things: 1) Drive gas up to $5 a gallon, and quickly. 2) Get the 'ooh rah' rally around Obama media show 3) Cause a massive worldwide escalation in military showdowns (the old 'unintended consequences' routine) 4) Allow the massive intrusion of DHS/TSA police state powers ALREADY IN PLACE through executive order(s) 5) Get everybody's mind off the economy and the sheer horror of the Current Administration 6) Reduce the GOP and Ron Paul to backbencher irrelevance 7) Further weaken the US and redistribute more wealth (i.e., rob the middle class blind) See why there's a hankerin' for war?...

perhaps this is a classic case of progressive 'projection'? Maybe Signorile is gay. The liberal/prog establishment is obsessed with all things sexual; their desires for Sarah Palin are both perverse and legendarily so. Maybe Signorile thought Mr Breitbart 'cute'.
'They Were Expendable' is one of the finest war films ever made. Robert Montgomery had just returned from the Pacific where he skippered a PT Boat; John Ford too, had just returned from doing his documentaries. Manyin the cast and production team were WWII veterans, and the film has the look, and feel of the real deal. Poor John Wayne, who has always been castigated by some for not serving- he was a tad old, had a football injury and kids- was given a real hard time by Ford who enjoyed embarrasing him in front of everbody for his lack of service. Wayne took it all in stride...
