This was the first Grammys I have watched since Jethro Tull beat Metallica for best hard rock/metal performance in 1989... yes it has been that long. I have caught the performances on youtube in recent years, though. I watched because I wanted hear Adele (I recently discovered her through friends after I had given pop music a pass in a few years thanks to the like of Bieber, Gaga, Perry, and Coldplay) and the Foo Fighters. Here was my good and bad from the event.

Good
LL Cool J is still pretty damn cool.
Adele is awesome.
Foo Fighters can rock anyplace, anytime.
Paul McCartney can still jam.
Taylor Swift is cute as a button.

Bad
Coldplay sucks.
The people who are in charge of the Grammys are biased and out of touch. They left Etta James and Jani Lane off the list of people who died (at least Etta got a small tribute, but it was overshadowed - Alicia Keys and Bonnie Raitt were awesome though)
Beach Boys should retire.
Maroon 5 sucks but not as much as Coldplay, which manages to suck and blow at the same time.
Nikki Minaj is perhaps more insane than Lady Gaga.
Coldplay Sucks.
The people in charge of putting bands in particular genres obviously don't listen to any of those bands.

Deadmau5 is awesome... but as much as I love the Foo (they are perhaps one of the best live bands ever) it was a bad paring.

The were also the only rock band nominated for best Rock... good thing they won.

I cant figure out which I hate more Maroon 5 or Coldplay...

It would never work for a Wrestlemania... but maybe one of the lesser PPVs. It would be awesome to bring back the King of the Ring PPV and have it in England.

Didn't Jimmy Hoffa lose one of those?
