I tested it several times - fires up my default mail client every time. Sometimes takes a second. What are you seeing?

I'm pretty sure the answer was in the comments of that post. I just have my Outlook security settings lowered because I have a good virus scanner but there is another setting. I'll try to remember to come back to this
