It's great to hear this from someone else. I have long held the opinion that "Plus-Sized" in the mainstream media was such a farcical representation. No offense to the more petitely sized big girls, but have ya been to Walmart lately? A visit on any given day will be a revelation for those who consider the lovely Lane Bryant models a fair representation of plus-sized women.
Have you ever noticed how LB and Torrid cinch up the clothing to make them better fit the mannequins? What does that mean?

As a lifelong fat guy, I've made every concession to diet and exercise, and have never faltered more than 15lbs. Whether I was Vegetarian or not, a smoker or non, even if I went to the gym 3-4 days a week, my body remained defiant.
Is it so hard to believe that we could be genetically predisposed to certain body types? I'm shaped just like my father, and I have to believe I inherited his body type, just as I did his jowl, neither of which I especially wanted.
Acceptance is what it's all about, but even if we accept ourselves, society will still have it's prejudices, thinking if we'd only eat less of exercise more, it would all change. How ignorant. It was great hearing Joy Nash say, in Fat Rant 2; "fatpeople don't eat any differently than thin people do; some fat people eat a lot, some eat very little, and lots and lots and lots of us eat moderately, just like thin people."
