If those bullets in the driver window came from the rear, they would have missed their target. When shooting from behind you aim for the driver side rear passenger window. Right behind the driver seat. But, that would have put two patrol cars in the line of fire. Those bullets came from the front. You always watch the field of fire. That is a basic rule of law enforcement shooting exams. You don't stand at a 90 to the vehicle. otherwise all your bullets that miss end up going out the passenger window and hitting pedestrians or cops. You also don't stand in front of the vehicle or you will be hit. You blade your self at about 30 degrees that way you can still see the driver and all your bullets that enter the vehicle end up in the perp or the seat.
Do you have some crystal ball that tells you more about the situation than we already know. The only info we have on this is what the media has published. Sounds like a violent criminal had escaped and was attempting to flee. Using the suv as a battering ram to remove the police from the equation. How would you have like to see them handle this. Enlighten us with your knowledge of dealing with violent criminals.
He wasn't shot in the back. He was shot in the head and chest.
He could have killed several people in his attempt to flee. And these people would still say, he was such a good kid and didn't deserve this. BS. He was a selfish waste of flesh that only cared about himself, and would do anything to achieve it.
There are ways around in car breathalyzers. I am all for random sobriety checkpoints. Some states already do this.
Say good bye. Life as you know it is over. All because you drank and drove. At least YOU will get to live the rest of your days out.
Well put, whitehawk3006. I was going to say the same thing. Either a rope or a bullet. Utah recently executed a man by firing squad. Why do we spend so much on expensive drugs to ensure the POS we execute dies humanely. I doubt the victims of their crimes recieved such sympathy.
It makes more sense for the prosecution to blame the perp, rather than another officer. Just saying, from an economical point of view. Or he could be lying to try and get a big pay off. Not pointing any fingers. Just makes you think.
Should have bought fuel instead of vodka.
What amazes me is the amount of people saying he doesn't have a right to fly the flag in a public place. Of course he does. Whether you like the message it represents, to you, or not. Even though I don't agree with his choice of expression. He still has the right to display it. How is this any different then a teacher displaying a poiltical bumper sticker on their car. I can imagine some christian parents might not agree with the gay pride bumper stickers. But, the teacher has the right to express themselves. My children were given brochures inviting them to a bible study class, after school. condoned by the school, held in one of the classrooms. I find that extremely offensive. Religion has no place in a public school. But, I respect their right to freedom of speech. Does the school bus company have the right to fire him because of this. As long as they have a code of conduct restricting such displays. It's just like an employer asking you to remove body peircings or cover up tattoos. You represent their company. And they have they right to tell you how they want to be represented. If he wanted to keep his job and still fly the flag. He could have parked off campus.
