http://rickystuff.blogspot.com/ : So You're Going To Be a Dad - Guest Post by Kathy Richards

We never had cell phones when our kids were little (they didn't come in the rotary dial model) but texting your spouse a picture of a "blow-out" is more appropriate than saving the gift for when they get home to see it. And the word 'bovine,' even if used endearingly as she feeds said offspring (prior to blow-out) should probably not be uttered. (snort!) How many WWF accounts does katdish have? #holdout

Gluten Free Diva : Quinoa Tabouli

Gorgeous tabouli! Can't wait for the flatbread recipe. My biggest "miss" is Israeli couscous. Somebody needs to recreate that in GF form. Until then, I'll play with quinoa.

Stuff Christians Like - Jon Acuff : Wondering if you could get out of the way if a stereo speaker fell from the ceiling at church.

We have a catwalk thingie on the ceiling above the chairs - it's for access to things like speakers, lights, and such. I look up there every service to see if there's anyone up there watching, and hope they don't decide to plant a camera there. I worry more about lights exploding than speakers falling. That being said, "our seat" is chosen in behind and to the right of a speaker, just in case. And your wife doesn't knit in church anymore? Because she totally should.

Stuff Christians Like - Jon Acuff : Treating youth ministers like silver medal ministers.

I thank God for Nick the Geek. Youth Pastors hadn't been invented when I was young, and my kids never had a youth pastor in our small church. If they would have had a chance for a mentor with Nicks huge heart for God while acting like a total lunatic, I think their faith walk would be a little more certain now. And I think the Youth Pastor's wives deserve a shout-out too. There's a special kind of devotion there.
