In many ways Jeb, the community that is gathering, (and again I'll
mention the film I viewed last week: Bab' Aziz)...the community will
be of those who arrive through persistence at the gathering which has
no predetermined location or date. While at time the paradox of
immediacy these tools put into our hands contrasted with the pace at
which community evolves is perhaps a sign that things are moving in
the right direction. Where there is paradox, there the mystery of
life.

I've come to the realization that it's only by asking the difficult questions that we get to the heart of our dilemma. To question the status quo does not take much effort, but to question the structures our own "security" is tied into is where we need to show more courage as a culture.

Your sense that the system will strip away the creative potential is
valid. It's strange how embedded the puritanical sense of utility
shapes the system, whereas the pragmatic posture of usefulness widens
out (while building upon the same base no doubt), into a recognition
that meaninfulness, not productivity, is the bottom line issue...

Good point Fred. It's got so much of the \"gold rush\" metality bound
up with it, and in the end, most of the activity around generating
this behavior equates to \"salting\" the mine...that's when, as I
learned from Lon Woodbury out in Idaho earlier this summer, when
they'd use a shotgun to scatter gold fragments into an area and create
a buying frenzy to the ususpecting greenhorns...

and I should have made phase two chronicle the support I've gotten fro

That means a great deal to me Matt. It's been an interesting time of focus for me as I'm about to start my Jungian studies next week down in the city.. Getting things "right" here before that journey begins has been a top priority. As ususal, most of that consists of attitude and practice...
