What are we supposed to do? Al Qaeda seems to be everywhere. If we gain information that they are responsible for the uprising there, or supporting it then we need root them out. This is a never ending story and until we come up with something better I don't know what else we can do. Does anyone really think that by doing nothing that terrorism will disappear? If they succeed anywhere then their donations increase and their recruitment goes up. The US and Isreal are their preferred targets. Anything that they can do to gain fellow zealots will be increased 10 fold if they can accomplish terrorist acts in either of these countries.

I hope we do take action. I have not forgotten, nor will I ever, the picture left in my mind from the World Trade Towers.

I didn't find the article offensive. I would hope there is no one out there that is for war. However, we have a threat that is different than any other kind of threat than we have had before. Al-Qaeda is a name that represents a group of terrorists from different countries all over the world. It is not the only terrorist organization that exists. Terrorists usually do not have a country per say that they are fighting for. They are organized for a purpose or a universal reason. This is not a defined enemy even with the name that we use. What makes it so difficult to overcome this kind of an enemy is that we do not have a static location or people to target. You all know this but we forget what we know because we infiltrate their lairs in different countries. I do not believe that this is a war we will ever win. What we seem to be doing now is slowing it down although the more we fight and destroy the more willing participants seem to flock to their ranks.

Hopefully we will find the answers we need to win this war on terrorism. Until we do I really do not see an end to the conflict.

I do not know what the answers are and I am afraid that is the problem with those in charge of our military as well. Hopefully in the future some grand plan will be discovered that will allow us to battle this enemy effectively. Until that happens I guess we are doing the best that we can. I do know that a higher power exists and I believe there is a grand plan here. With that I do have faith that life will go on.
