It's hard to believe Hanson didn't get the start at the beginning of the season. They actually have a good team capable of winning the big 12 north as long as codey stays on the bench.
Alright Buff fans it's time to start supporting the team and let the season play out. If any of you complainers want to really help than find doners that will ante up millions of dollars because this athletic Department is broke and the state of Colorado gives it's Universities the least amount of money of all 50 states. That's why they can't hire the best coaches and until that changes your comments are meaningless. Start donating and building fan support and stop complaining.
At best this team is 4-8 unless they bench Hawkins and get a real QB. This is a good team with a playmaker QB and does anyone believe that Codey would be a QB on any division 1 team in the country?
McKnight is a great kid and the most consistent kid on the team without him there is no passing game. Codey on the other hand is not capable as a division 1 QB, the only reason he plays is because his father made sure he didn't recruit a top rated QB. He seemed to have no problem recruiting other positions on offense so his son would be successful, this kind of dishonesty and nepotism is what really makes you sick. He seeded his own demise and if this continues there's no doubt Hawk will be going down in flames.
Niel has just given the reaons why we can't be a dominate program now let's state the reasons why we can. We have won a national championship and probably should have won 3 more ( 89, 94, 01), quality of life at CU is light years ahead of NU or OU not to mention the rest of the big 12, Boulder if the best college town in the country and the campus is as nice as any in the country, Folsom Field is the best stadium in the big 12 and we have the coolest uniforms. Colorado is a place where people want to work and live and you can recruit coaches and player's by selling your strong points. McCartney was a MU alumni player and he could have coached anywhere in the country but he stayed at CU, certainly MU would gladly have hired him. You don't have to recruit a 1,000 kids each year just 20 top recruits. There are programs all over the country that have made breakthroughs with alot less going for them than CU. All these top flight programs were nothing at one time somebody somehow got the job done, you need a dedicated and enterprenurial coach.
Hawks new slogan is no wins and 10 excuses. CU has no money and the state doesn't support athletics and barely academics so Bohn has no choice but to play the season out and if things don't improve there's no doubt Hawk will be gone. GO BUFFS
Guys it sucks but it's only 2 games, it's not to late for a turnaround as the talent level is much better than 3years ago. Last year Rutgers lost 5 of it's first 6 games and ended up 8-5 with a Bowl win and a successful season. I don't think Bohn is afraid to fire anyone and he will if this type of losing continues but he is up against a state that does not support the University nor the Athletic Dept. and all the money comes from the fans and doners. Hawk may indeed be a moron but we will have to wait till the end of the season to see how this plays out. If the new slogan is no wins and 10 excuses then he will be gone. GO BUFFS
