In the sense of remembering, animals certainly do learn. From goldfish right through to mammals and birds- conditioning takes place. I mean more that they don't acquire as complex knowledge as people do. Please, feel free to provide factual evidence on the contrary; as I always say I'm open to persuasion. My opinions always are.

They probably do! Yes! But I'm not /that/ upset about it, and the database that the posts were located in actually got deleted when I deleted something else, so they may be gone, not sure. I'd rather move on than worry about it :)

What if the child was to grow up in an abusive household, or one that could not support it; and adoption was not an option? I'm not saying I disagree with you, but yo've given a rather black/white answer.

I agree with the fact that it sets an expectation, however in the opening paragraph I outline that for most of us, that expectation is already set. I'm not promoting to maintain it, however if it is the belief someone holds... I'm not to oppose that.
This article isn't on the idea of being realistic on the chances of finding someone. It is on how to maintain a positive mindset in the interim between not having someone, and having someone- holding of course the belief that you will inevitably find someone you are content with.

Thanks for the reply, Reader.

I totally agree that people who don't have more than a secondary education will be harder off in the economic recession, however 'trouble' may push it. As you are probably aware, that's all I have at the moment, as I haven't completed further study. And while I am certainly not as comfortable in life as perhaps those with professional jobs, as you mention, however I am in no way in strife, either.

I also agree with your comment about being able to recognise weaknesses. On the other hand, throughout my entire education (which I have stated is only up to Year 12 level) we are told to always promote yourself without fear of being put down. And this is what I did in this post, and yet you come along and throw insult on it. No wonder people self esteems are low...
Please also note, that this is www.brodhe.com. I am brodhe. This website is devoted to my thoughts and my opinion. I am totally within my right to sound like a Year 7 bragging about nothing. If you don't like it, don't visit my page.

As I mentioned above, I am only competing for "non-professional" roles, if you mean doctor, lawyer, architect, etc. I consider myself to have a good job: it pays reasonable, it's a desk job that I enjoy. My aspirations certainly see me completing university education, and I have every intention to do that. However, at the stage that I'm at in my life, it isn't what I'm doing.

You have come to my blog, a blog about someone who has chosen NOT to "swim with the big fish" and you say I shouldn't brag about what I do. Perhaps you should consider that you have come to someone's site who chooses to live the way they do. if you disagree with that, then that's fine. But don't try insulting them for it.

I completely agree!!! I definately think you sum it up in far better words than I do.

I would have to admit, that when I first came out I had no idea about the difference between cut/uncut. The first few guys I was with, I had no idea what they were.

definately :)  I like the quote actually "i do have a choice, its just that the system making that choice has been created by influences that are not me. I am entirely created, i did not create myself"

but on average, if i asked everyone to randomly press a key, the figures would show that there would be certain keys which are going to be pressed more than others.

Then, if we look at the individuals life to the exact detail, we would uncover patterns and fondness for certain keys, letters or areas of the keyboar. Right handers would prefer left side of keyboard, etc.

Then look at if the person has a history of being 'random' or predicatable. What's the next step?

Then factor into the theory of random- that even the most seemingly random thing follows an algorithm: so very literally your random act could be put into a very precise mathematical equation... it has boundaries and limits. Is it really a 'choice' or is choice merely the dillusion we as people have come up with?
