Jimmy, that is an important age. We do have a transitional ministry here that they just started called Fuse (5th and 6th grade). This helps transition from LIfeKIDS to LifeYouth (Switch). It is not available on the web yet, but hopefully they will get some of that content up soon. Tony, you know I love this! The fan page has definitely been a great change. We have seen the engagement blow up with the new features that push the fan page's activity to the user's activity stream. This "Create Related Groups" idea would be an amazing addition, and I know we would be committed to being a test case for Facebook :)

Stephanie, an experience is the 1 hour interactive video where people gather together at http://live.lifechurch.tv, watch, and interact. We have 16 experiences that run Saturday through Friday. Each of these 16 experiences have a specific starting time and ending time. This post is talking about 3 new times being offered for people to check out that experience. Each experience time has a crew of dedicated volunteers that welcome people, pray with people, answer questions, and be sure the experience runs smoothly. Each experience create great opportunities to not just watch, but actively participate in what God is doing in people's lives.

Good input Samuel. I think that is right. We can not do anything that produces righteousness on our own. I believe that is why this is the pre-requisite. It is only through Jesus and the Spirit of God that we produces fruit of the Spirit. This is why we have to give our whole lives to Him, our relationships, and trust Him completely. Our lives seems a large price to pay until we realize that Jesus gives real life and life more abundantly.

Love these verses, and I really love Romans. The first 11 chapters are talking about salvation in depth: our problem of sin, our solution through Christ, and the results of Christ in us. It is at Chapter 12, that it shifts to our action. That is why I love the first few words in 12:1, "Therefore [because of the words that you just read before this] I urge [this is the so important] you brothers in view of God's mercies [the mercies that were laid out in beautiful detail through the first 11 chapters. Do the following things in view of this mercy. Keep it in your mind. Let God's mercy precede these things]...." This is why we can offer our bodies, not conform, and be transformed because of the incredible mercy that was shown to us. Love this Dr. George!

Agreed! Dana, I know that your passion and leadership will rub off on us all. If we just rely on the one hour experience we are missing the power of the church. The church is people, and it is best realized in smaller groups who consistently get together in order to know God better. Be a part of building the foundation for this ministry...400 LifeGroups. This is a doable when we each decide to be a part of a LifeGroup and to have the mindset of multiplication. You are providing a place for anyone around the world who comes to Church Online to plug in, build relationships, and know God deeper.

Johnny, the fishing is the stuff this post is about. The one thing that frees my mind, and I don't do it enough...hardly ever! Good to hear from you, and it is good to hear about your purposeful Tuesdays to just connect and relax the mind. It is like the words in "Last Samurai" when Tom Cruises character is training with the swords and he keeps getting beat. A warrior pulls him aside and says "Too many minds!", basically he is thinking to much about his next move than doing it. Then he tells him, "No more minds" That sums it up for me! Love that!

Nick, this is a great post! Love it! I feel that many times the church can focus so much on the tools (both the positive and negative side), that we spend too much time talking about the tools. This is the world we live in. We just need to use these tools well and to their fullest potential to accomplish our main passions of sharing the Gospel and being the Church. I know the tools can really create some question and fears. I think we will be fine if we are driven by our passion for the things of God, the Church, and the Gospel and not our fears.

I think one exciting thing online tools allow is the gifted/anointed speaker to be used by the big "C" Church. There are many pastors who might not have the gift of communication, yet they have the strong gift of shepherding. Online tools are now opening the possibilities of everyone really thriving in the gifts God has given. The free resources that many churches are offering to other churches is really changing the game. I think for the masses the online tools allow more interaction in the discussion. People have a voice and are expected to have one online. Everyone is a producer as well as a consumer. I believe it is not as much about preaching the authority of scripture for the majority of people as it is the ability to share your story. This medium is perfect for that. It is part of online culture...to share your life story. Like the blind man that was healed by Jesus. He was not the preacher or teacher, but he could share what Jesus had done in his life, “...one thing I do know, that though I was blind, now I see.” This is what I get excited about. Now instead of a one way communication from the gifted preacher/teacher. We can now hear from those that God is changing. Just sharing our story through this tool has unlimited potential.
