No I was responding to you trying to let you see that responsible adults do not need any mandate to do the things that are required to operate a vehicle, or keep a persons health, or to raise a child,or any number of things you do in your life, neither the state nor the federal government should have to tell you what you should do to live a responsible life and this is why we have the problems we have today, to many rely on someone else to tell them what they have to do.Making a mountain out of a mole-hill wasn't my intent though and I am sorry if I made you feel that way.

These are all things you have some sort of choice in,but you had no choice in being born, of course you do have a choice in staying alive, but in my mind suicide is is not the best way to go.

Serf Believing in freedom is a good thing, doing something about it is what we all need, standing on the outside throwing rocks at the inside will get you no where, working with the inside will get all of us somewhere,I am a Newt supporter but I will be just as happy to support Ron Paul and/or Rick Santorum if the consensus go's that way,Romney not so much but he will still get my vote when it's time, we all have to get back to a place where conservatives have a chance to run, this election cycle is'nt the time, THIS is the time rid ourselves of the danger this nation faces and whoever the person that will fight to do that job is, has my vote.

Amnesty is what Obama wants the same thing Reagan gave, what Newt wants is a way let someone stay here without being a citizen, non-citizenship is equal to no-amnesty , and there's any number of reasons to give a person the chance to stay here, an older person who has no place else to go, a child who has no family in the country of their origin,and we're not talking millions, maybe a few thousands or less.If the laws had been enforced when it was possible to stop this we wouldn't have this problem, but it was not done and now we have to deal with the consequences, the few that would have the chance to stay here, is part of those consequences.An all or nothing aproach won't get us there, too many will fight against what they will see as warfare on the "immigrant",Newts aproach is much more workable, a slow steady attrition, will get us there.

He's not talking "amnesty" just a way to allow a person that has been in the community for a number of years to stay in that community but not have citizenship, pretty much like someone holding a green card or be a guest worker.

I've been watching Newt for a very long time and he has made many missteps,I don't think that any of us or them are immune to mistakes, Newt, Kasich,and a few others made me aware that there was something like conservatism, I think Newt does love this country and I think he cares about people who live in it.Vote for him or not, I believe he is the best that we have running right now.I will happily vote for Santorum, Paul, or Newt and will have to hold my nose on Romney but anyone to get Obummer out. The thing is I do not have to own a car I can ride a bike ,ride a horse, walk,hitchike,or do any number of things to keep from buying auto insurance, but to have to buy health insurance just because I live, is absolutely wrong,if anyone cannot see the reasoning behind this, then they have no understanding of freedom,or responsibilities.If you want healthcare then you are responsible for getting it and paying for it.If you want to drive then you are responsible for getting insurance on the vehicle.
