How about the editors who edited -- or approved -- the headline with 'racial' in it? At the Times, It's systemic not individual to the reporter. The news & editorial staff who let such dreck pass muster are the real scoundrels. Who can really blame a line reporter for writing what her bosses wanted to read? She's got a future in this biz, at least as long as the NYT stays in bidniz.
