The beneficiaries of the "drive" lost out, not the Scouts. Which came first, the chicken or the egg? Interesting. But the cities/states are practicing discrimination, no with their non-discrimination policies?

Perhaps the "point" should be that an organization was prevented from conducting a community service that appears somewhat fishy, leading to something based upon a policy of non-discrimination that has been PC'ed into something no one understand the meaning of any more.

"It'll be interesting what happens" when the $200K subsidy is no longer, then there may be missing a group dedicated enough to do a "drive" for the troops or some other such beneficiary.

Drive? Rent subsidies? Drive? Rent subsidies? Ones a fruit, the other a vegetable.

Certainly not everything about Bush, but you are correct we have a number of interesting options; no one perfect (never is), yet but lightyears ahead of the options on the other side of the aisle.

I took all I could to watch the first 45 minutes of the Dem YouTube debate and then it was only to check out the YouTube angle so as not to come off like too much of an idiot if they were actually worth a damn. I also had been invited to call into PVR for a chat....my Gard what a silly little farce.

We can pass on the discussion of the CNN oopses...not sure that I would recognize them described by any unhinged ones.

Overall, at this moment I am pretty much stepping back from the media force feeding, dog and pony shows and the celebrity crap involved in the circus regardless of party.

Not a huge fan of Paul although I did like some of his answers; he absolutely is persona non grata in my book with his stance of international relations and Iraq. What exactly is "non-intervention" anyway? I'll be looking into that.

I will not count the Dems out for 2008 but the interest in them is misled and likely magnified by the glowing green air around these days. Kerry wouldn't have done nearly as well as he did last time around if there were not so many unhinged among us.

Interesting stuff as long as you can see past the kliegs.

You know the influence in this upside down region of hate is these cretins and extricating them in their various civilian populated areas is a nice camouflage. Peace only quickens the pace of the little people seeing what their governments do and have done to them and theirs.

That said? Remove the trouble makers in the process. I don't mean the leadership of the nations involved, but the turd-pockets first. So often it is in retaliation or defensive in nature. Take the fight to the pathetic losers in the various terrorist groups; make them sweat and I don't mean Palestinian authorities, they will accomplish nothing....International covert ops, just keep them looking over their shoulders more than normal...make them keep their heads down.

Regional leaderships will need to address some of their own issues with their people and the region without their self-manufactured terror groups; less distraction so people really begin to look at what they have, but mostly what they have not.

Gee, what do you know? Oddly, this was done without embryonic stem cells. But will this really quell the debate? I wonder...no likes to be a loser (not to say those in favor of embryonic research are losers); I think it still quite possible for the claim that embryonic stem cell research is another arrow in the quiver and that we should head down this road.

We should be more concerned these days with the ethical dilemma inherent in certain scientific realms; not to so much stop them, but to truly consider what we are doing in our quest to heal.

"We're pretty close" to thinking everything is going fine and a done deal; at least the diplomatic corps and administration believes so. We'll go through this again with NK as both Iran and the former need the nukes as a way of saying "now try and tell us what and what not to do." Meanwhile NK wants all sorts of gimmes, which they will get; one of which is the dropping of NK as a sponsor of terrorism as it offers the justification for walking out on the talks. So if they are a sponsor and get their way on dropping the classification; guess what...they're still sponsors, but we just won't call them that anymore....garbage. So much more is in it for them, yet why wouldn't they just turn around and pull the same game in the future?

Personally I am not as concerned about NK as Iran. Il-Sung is a criminal and thug pulling in money in whatever means possible. Iran on the other hand is more inclined to devastate itself and as many with it as possible for the sake of it's warped vision of its religious beliefs. Their self nuclear annihilation would still be victory in their eyes; opening the door for the return of the 12th, thus establishing Islam worldwide.

No Simoleon, Bush, the U.S. and the Right are not the enemies of the state, nor the reason the world is so screwed up and often violent. Had we stayed in the trees we'd still be violent and knocking the snot out of each other but we wouldn't know any better. There would also be no proselytizing or self-hatred that makes some of us cheer (not implying you) our wounds, blood and defeat because of our actions mistakenly defined as hubris.

No outright proof, but recall the Israeli raid in Syria recently; bits, spots, and tidbits of NK connection to this Syrian nuclear location (including dead North Koreans), hmmmmm.....

Iran? In the words of Rightwing vampire John Bolton, “The fact is that Iran will never voluntarily give up its nuclear program, and a policy based on the contrary assumption is not just delusional but dangerous. This is the road to the Nuclear Holocaust.." A statement I do not disagree with.

I do not relish, nor do I scream for war, but lets not "piss our pants" fearing it as there are realities that are worse than it. Iran's fingerprints are all over difficulties in the M.E.; nukes would help wipe them away, don't you think?
