The Black Box Office : Waiting for Superman is more than a movie

...except, Microsoft didn't fund this movie. Neither did Bill. The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation are MARKETING this film, which is being distributed by Paramount Vantage. Walden Media is also marketing the film. Have you seen it? Also, the issue isn't people over 40, it's kids currently in the system. Who are failing. American kids should be ranked a little higher in science and math, don't you think?

The Black Box Office : Megan Fox is out of Transformers 3

Well, she was supposed to be a teenager so replacing her should be...interesting. Freida Pinto? Olivia Munn? Could really go for Nicole Beharie, though she's probably too much actress for the gig.

The Black Box Office : TASHA SMITH INTERVIEW!

We've waited a long time for a comment as dumb as this. Congratulations. Not only is this company Black owned and operated, and the editor and publisher of this website ALSO Black, but the author of this interview is Black. Unlike other blogs that scrape their content from non-Black sources, we write articles here. Conduct actual interviews. Actually watch films abnd review them instead of making judgements on the trailers. Kam Williams is one of the most prolific Black film critics in the country. While you're on the internet making baseless claims, may we suggest you use a search engine to check your facts instead of saying nonsense to drive traffic to a site that can't be publicly accessed. It's sad that you see journalism and believe that it has to be white. But we understand. And we appreciate the back-handed compliment.

The Black Box Office : REVIEW: BROKEN EMBRACES

I'd agree with you there on Volver vs. Broken Embraces. Where would you say it measured against the total body of Almodovar's work? I'm a big big fan of his work, but I can only give this a 3, especially compared to "Women On The Verge". Penelope was definitely great in it, though.

The Black Box Office : Sam Jackson done shooting Iron Man 2, Nick Fury still "a talker"

For one thing, there's no such person as Nick Fury. So he can be anything. The first time Nick Fury was ever put in a movie, he was portrayed by a white actor. Also, check the picture we chose for this piece. It's from the comics. They've changed Nick in the books (depending, of course, upon which version you read). Nobody is saying it's politically correct to have Nick Fury be Black. Nobody has said that. Your "White guy playing Shaft" idea is interesting. You should write it!

GeekTyrant : William Shatner May Get a part in the next STAR TREK Film

Slippery slope. Nichelle, George, and Walter could come back and "meet themselves", too. Best way to move forward is to do "City On The Edge Of Forever" the way it was originally written, maybe even add a bit to fit in the new Vulcan/Romulan story elements. Otherwise, just give us the Klingons and get on with it!
