You are correct. We regret the error in the video voicer. The script copy is in line with what the Dept. of Ag says, which is 1/16th of an inch.

It was my pleasure to do this, Damon, although I can not take credit for being there. The footage is all courtesy of the County of Hawaii, funded by the tax payers of the Big Island. The video is put together by the contracted service, Out of the Sea, which is owned by Jeff and Wendy Haun. Anyone can go down to pick up a copy on DVD if you call the clerk in advance. All I did was format a few clips to show on the site.

In case anyone else was wondering about this, I'll keep this question up.

I was on the look out of for Pete's opening prayer, since I had heard it was interesting.

I learned when going through the DVDs, which are provided to anyone who would like to see them by the county, that there is no sound during the "off the record" portions of the meeting. I assume the mics are cut off for those parts. It appears that this includes the opening prayer. So, there was only silent footage of the council standing in prayer.

The typo has been corrected. Thank you for sharing that story!
