So he was fired-ish...because a lawyer somewhere notified them that it would be a hell of a lot easier to justify paying Belotti 2.3mill based on nothing more than his word and a handshake. Riiiiight. Guess Mike forgot to mention that during his resignation...err...firing, press conference.

I'm sure no officer ever wants to be in a position where they need to shoot, but it sounds like they followed perfect protocol. When will these career protesters get a damn job, and quit looking for issues where they don't exist. They should protest the free health care they receive without paying any taxes.

Whew, I'm so tired of lousy Pac 10 officiating. Props to the commish for doing something about it in the instance of the near decapitation of Rodgers. I've talked with OSU coaches across 3 sports and they said that other coaches in the conference and across the country, pretty much all agree that the Pac-10 has the worst officials in the country. It's one thing to miss calls, but when they're blowing the calls on replay as consistently as they do too, it's unbelievable. Not sure enough one-sided bad calls occurred to change the outcome of the game, but I read in an LA publication there was an illegal block on the punt return for a TD too. I dunno, I'm just tired of more and more good games being marred by crappy work by the officials.
