wow, get a grip beaver fans. we've had a good run and we're now having a bad year. LB's are slow... you can't coach them to run faster. Inexperience, injuries and losing starting LB and DE have taken its toll. I have faith in MR now just as I did when things were going well. It's embarrassing how quick people turn on MR after a couple of losses.

can someone post the photo of James' TD that go overturned? The one where his foot was close to the endline, but not clearly on the line. I heard that there is a photo that shows about a 1/4" between his foot and the endline. If so, this needs to be sent the Pac-10 offices and an explanation or apology should be issued.

ASU is looking at this game and licking their chops. I hate to say it, but I think it might be ASU by 2 TDs. Our D is slow. You can't coach slow. Our O isn't as good as I thought it would be and I don't see them keeping up with the ASU O. Hope I'm wrong.

Bill Moos was on KJR in Seattle and said that it would be a North/South split because it is important to him to maintain the NW rivals. He talk like that was just the way it was going to be and he was in favor of it. I certainly hope he is wrong, but I can see how WSU would want it that way. The cougs seem to have the least amount of recruiting impact in LA out of all the NW schools. Plus the cougs would have a better chance of competing in a North division than one split down the middle. For schools like UO, OSU and UW that have a better chance of competing with LA schools, the N/S split would not be good.

How about this...

OSU cuts women's basketball and picks up competitive cheer to comply with title iv. Could you imagine the rivally they would have with the ducks! This will save the atheletic dept. money since women's basketball is a money loser plus there would not be practice conflicts between men's and women's basketball anymore...thus, saving additional funds because the practice facility would be less important. How much they paying Lavanda anyhow?

I agree that Rhoderick dissapointed. He scares me and I don't think he's the answer at closer. If the Beavs make a run this year, they'll need to find someone more consistent at closer... especially in the Pac 10. Hopefully Starr can step in soon and Rhoderick is a situational setup man.

Last night was a joke. Not only did the players quit, but the coach did too. Just because we were down big doesn't mean you stop executing. Mr. "Big shot" Craig Robinson needs to get to work and stop worrying about his next gig and politics. And stop begging for a new practice facility. Win and you will get your practice facility... and if you so chose, probably a better gig too. This isn't going to be easy and it's going to require hard work... not just education and political connections. I would hope that Mr. Robinson DOES NOT forget this loss. It may feel better to forget it but I would rather see you embrace it and learn from it.

After reading more crap than I can handle about this game, my brain hurts and I'm ready for it to begin already. Regardless of the outcome, I will be proud of my Beavs. I think it all boils down to Canfield. I don't think we stop Masoli. Maybe we can cause a few TO's, but he's going to get his. If Canfield plays well, then I think the Beavs win regardless of everything else.... and that still scares me despite how well he has played as of late because of Oregon's homefield fans. If he can keep his poise and not have any TO's I could even see the Beavs getting up big.

Cliff,

I disagree that Stanford's win over ND did little for their postseason status. If the Beavs lose, then I think the Holiday Bowl now takes Stanford with their heisman hopeful. If the Beavs win, then you're right. It doesn't matter.

Question: Other than the USC game, I wasn't that impressed with Oregon. I think they played Arizona at the right time when the league seems to be adjusting to Arizona's scheme and Foles at QB. Plus, I think that game had more to do with Arizona blowing it than Oregon winning it. Don't get me wrong... they're good but everyone seems to think they're definately going to win the CW. On paper, I think the Beavs might be the best team with all the intangibles... except for the home field advantage. That said I still can't see the Beavs winning. I am just really worried about the officiating. Am I crazy for having these thoughts?

There are 3 main factors to the low attendence numbers at Reser.
1. Pricing... Tickets have been priced too high since the renovation. Tickets should have been priced to guarantee sellouts from the beginning, then gradually increased. This would have created a higher demand and a streak of sellouts that the fans could be proud of. It would also contribute to a better game day environment that would lure the return customer. I for one, don't bother to get tickets until the last minute because I know that they are always available. Plus, if I go through OSU, I'm going to pay insane prices for nosebleed seats.
2. The population base surrounding Corvallis is small.
3. OSU has done a horrible job of marketing the program, especially in Portland.
