Sadly, this was funnier than the actual show would have been. Do we even need SNL anymore? I say we just get JT to give a 2 minute breakdown of what should happen every week.

Not Federal Law. Education is under the purview of the states.

Here's an argument: Second Amendment: The Right to Bear Arms. The government has said that we have a right to healthcare in the US and we will all be forced to purchase it. I think we should all be forced to purchase a gun, too. After all its our right.

Why can't Christians not support the bill because the Bible says, "The borrower is slave to the lender?" And we don't want to see our future being mortgaged?

Not true. You have the option to not have a car or rent a home. You would not be required to purchase insurance for that property. This is forcing someone to buy something and giving them no option not to purchase it.

Again, you are wrong. The government is not supposed to "do for the people what the people can't do for themselves". The government of the United States has some clearly articulated responsibilities in the Constitution.

As a family member of a person who serves in the Air Force, I will strongly disagree that people fought and died for the government, people fought and died to give us the ability to NOT be controlled by the government.

I take exception to your statement that Republicans wanted nothing. The Republicans wanted to implement tort reform, allow individuals the ability to deduct the cost of health care on their income tax returns, and allow insurance companies to sell their products across state lines. All of which would result in lower premiums.

So, to say that the Republicans wanted to do nothing is not correct. They just don't want the government to be in charge of it.
