There are so many Federal Depts that need to go (Education and Energy just to name a few). The Americans are awake and electing the GOP will not lull us back to sleep. The geese flying over in perfect formation just as the rally was starting seemed like God's blessing on the day. The people made that day so incredible. I have been reading parts of this bill and it is scary. Just a few items I noted: This bill would require Medicare patients every 5 years to have an Advance Care Planning Consultation. (p 424). Reading b/t the lines it looks like patients may be encouraged to "die with dignity" to save the govt money. Also, a Health Benefits Advisory Committee will recommend the covered benefits. Some of these are appointed by the President and Surgeon General (p 30). I could go on and on but it is time to tuck in the 6YO.

That is the best news I have heard in awhile! There are real changes that could be made to save us all money and improve our healthcare but I doubt they will pass since govt would have to give up control in order for it to work.

I am just tired for voting for the lesser of two evils.� I am tired of the political party system where the one elected gives up his or her principles for votes and money.� I used to be a die hard Republican thinking they really cared about me and this great country where we live.� I have learned over the past few years this is not the case.� They still want big government and have set up programs that we cannot afford.�

Believe me, I do not like Obama.� I don't like any of his programs and he is taking our country in the wrong direction.� The Republicans are either going to have to put up a new type of candidate (a true conservative who actually does what he/she says and stands by conservative values) or we the people with common sense need to dump the them and focus on independent candidates.� And yes in the past this would help the dems.� However, I believe that there are enough of us that are fed up with the current system and can make true change in Washington.� There is a site www.goooh.com that is recruiting everyday people to run for Congress.�
