Once I retire from my work in two years I will terminate my membership and never look back. Voris' turning point was the vote of two Knights in the New York legislature that made same-sex marriage law. I too was a Vietnam vet who saw both the land side and the sea side of the Navy experience, marine corpsman and ship board swabby. I can honestly say that every war movie has its realities and its antiwar attributes. All war movies are anti-war by virtue of its subject matter. Does anyone want to really die for their country even in a 'just war?' I think not. Some of the best war movies are those that show no fighting, no death but constant tension and worry. Gore in war is a given. Mr. Stone has a ax to grind and that is his right as a director, but please make sure that there is always someone out here quick to point out that the director/producer is taking poetic advantage of the uninitiated audience.
