steenface! : What Do You Think?: BlogHer Edition

I've been too exhausted and busy to read up on any drama this year. Last year's darama seemed really overblown once I watched the video of the keynote. I think it was more funny than anything. Umm, I've really wanted to go for a long time. About three years ago it was in Santa clara like 10 minutes from my house and even THEN I couldn't make it. Then it was in San Francisco, about an hour from me and I wasn't able to make it. BLAH! Like you, I want to go every year but 'stuff' is always in the way. This year it was a laid off husband and needing to spend that money on things like food and all that 'necessary' crap. But seriously, there was drama? I'm serious, I don't know when I'll have time to catch up on my feed reader so if you wanted to send me the Ciff's notes I wouldn't complain.

I agree with SciFi Dad but also see where you are coming from. And honestly, you are going to be a great parent one, when you are ready, because you waited till it was the right time for you and your family as a whole. I wish more people would put as much thought into it as you have.

Okay, seriously? This is getting a little creepy. So, JUST LAST NIGHT I Was telling Ben about how awesome it was that Wil was offering the $5 PDF copy of the book on Lulu. And how that hopefully more authors would see that and do the same. Of course, he laughed at me the entire time because I have actually been a HUGE WW fangirl since his Star Trek days. I'm a huge Trek fan and spent many a night swooning over him on TV. I actually watched the Criminal Minds episode TWICE. Becuase I'm THAT lame. I've been reading his blog for a few years now and when he started up on twitter I might have squeeled... but just a little. ;) Okay, we need to stop doing this "have stuff in common" thing because it's FREAKIN' ME OUT A LITTLE! ;)

Awwww. Well, the important thing is that you get what you want and are happy. Being broke is so SUCK. I totally know how that feels right now. I REALLY want a baby but Ben and I both know that until the economy gets better it would be irresponsible for us to do that. HURRY UP ECONOMY! Hugs and stuff!

Although I am very, very, very, VERY liberal on most topics, this is one where I always catch flack from my co-lefties. I think that anybody should have the right to protect themselves, hunt, target practice, WHATEVER and that includes owning a gun. I do believe in things like wait times and having to be properly trained too. I just wish that gun ownership didn't get such a horrible rap from all the "bad eggs".

My main character is a Human Warlock. I LOVE playing my lock. Just wait till you get a Voidwalker, it changes everything. As far as beginning game content goes, I think the NE zone is prettier and the quests are a bit more fun. BUT the human zone seems more compact to me so you don't have to run as far between quests or to a major city. Plus, the Eastern Kingdom is much more alliance friendly. BUT, NEs are PRETTIER. I actually have pretty much one of each class and race so I can get a feel for what they all do and how they end up contributing to end game content. Anyway, I'm glad you are having fun with it!

I think that it REALLY depends on the husband. If you have a really doting husband that goes to all the appointments, gets the food in the middle of the night, happily ducks the sharp objects being thrown at his head during hormonal bouts, then he should be get some credit for it. However, there are a LOT of guys out there that just don't get everything that women have to endure and they deserve NOTHING... except maybe actually being HIT with one of the sharp objects. One of Ben's coworkers recently had a baby and I kind of thought the way you did when I heard "Julio had the baby today." I was like REALLY?! WOW! Was it like tag team style? She was tired of being pregnant so she tapped out and he took the ring during birth?! NO! Julio's WIFE HAD THE BABY today. Out of her VAGINA. RESPECT!

steenface! : My Estrogen Must Be Low, or, Why I Don't Have More Girlfriends

But like I said, I was pleasantly surprised because I went into it with really low expectations so it was better than I thought it was going to be. It was just, in my opinion, clearly written for people who had read the book already. I think that people that hadn't would have missed a lot of the story. Also, they're making a New Moon but I don't know about the rest. I've never been so disappointed by a book as I was with Breaking Dawn. It was utter CRAP. I liked book 1 and 3. 2 seemed to drag on forever and BD was just.. WHAT THE FUCK!? It felt to me like she just wanted to tie everything up with a pretty bow to make all the fangirls happy. I mean, ALL THAT BUILD UP, ALL THOSE WORDS, leading up to some epic battle and BAM! Nuthin'. Bah.

PFFT! Intense Debate is saying my comment is too long so I'm having to split it up. I was prepared to really hate that Pattinson guy as Edward because in real life, he's not all that good looking and Edward is supposed to be like OMG HAWT. I thought he did a pretty good job in the movie though... maybe because I went in expecting crap so he didn't have a lot to live up to. I still think that Edward Westwick would have been perfect for the roll. I was dissappointed by the things they added to the movie. Killings by animals? Uhhh, wasn't that New Moon? Billy Black as a light hearted joking character? Uhhh, never happened in the books. And most importantly, that was NOT Bella's truck. Not even close. And especially by things they left out. Okay, so they pointed out the eye color change, but never explained WHY they change. And you never really get the REAL struggle that Edward is going through to NOT kill Bella.
