Wouldn't it be great if in that sentence "his role as President" was replaced with "The role of Muslims." Why is it the President's job to defend any particular religion? It isn't his job! And why is he so interested in defending Islam, but making no effort to fight against negative stereotypes of Christianity? Why didn't he defend Sarah Palin from the attacks on her religion?

I agree that "Longview" has no political message. It doesn't really have any message. I didn't mean to imply that "Longview" was leftist, but that many of their other songs are. "Longview" wasn't the only song they played, it's just the one that didn't get censored.

I know this is off-topic, but did anyone see Good Morning America today? Green Day was performing their song "Longview" and ABC must have fallen asleep at the ol' censor button because you can clearly hear the "f" word and the "sh" word, each quickly followed by a delayed bleep. Maybe the seven second delay isn't enough for those guys on the east coast, but c'mon, by the time it gets to Colorado, you should be able to get that timing figured out. Hey ABC, next time you have a foul mouthed band playing their liberal propaganda on your show, you might want to make sure you READ THEIR LYRICS!
