[as] : SketchUp Ruby Code Editor

Very strange. Did you save the code and then paste or did you just copy from the editor? If you save, then some special characters don't get saved properly (see about page). The only other thing that happens in the editor is that the code gets wrapped in an undo group. But that shouldn't affect what's happening.

Make sure you use components for the trees and that you make copies of those rather than work with groups. Kerkythea can handle instancing and I believe component instances export as such.

Great plugins! I\\\'ll check them out. It\\\'s also interesting that there aren\\\'t any energy analysis plugs in there. But then again, the data came only from one source and captured a limited audience. I hope a plugin repository would have statistics and rating so that we get a better idea about popularity.

Although the 1001bit tools are great, they appear on top of the list simply because of the sorting. Beyond having the \\\"shortlist\\\", there is no ranking.

Thanks for letting me know. That was an attempt at a code completion that I apparently hadn't removed. I'll take it out in the next version. In the meantime, look into the ui.js file and remove or comment (or modify) this block: // Autocomplete - Show input when CTRL SHIFT combination is pressed var isCtrl = false; var crPos = 0; $(document).keyup(function (e) { if(e.which == 17) isCtrl=false; }).keydown(function (e) { if(e.which == 17) isCtrl=true; if(e.which == 18 && isCtrl == true) { crPos = $('#console').getSelection().start; $('#autoplete').show(); $('#autoplete_txt').focus(); return false; } }); Cheers, Alex

Don't use my method where multiple people (and potentially some bad ones) have access to the individual installation folders (e.g. yourdomain.com/~site2/). For that scenario, use the apache (or IIS) settings to create multiple sites. Then it would be impossible for anyone to access one domain via another.

As long as the files are in the "Plugins" folder in the SketchUp installation, they should be loaded automatically on startup. You would then find the menu item in the "Plugins" menu. One issue that I just recently noticed: Vista seems to protect file in the installation folder. I'll have to look into a fix for that.

[as] : Centroid and Area Properties Plugin for SketchUp

Hi Gerrit, I intend to update my non-Ruby Editor plugins next, so this should happen soon. The fix I was working on last was similar in that I can separate the exterior vertices with outerloop and then create the channel automatically. I was getting stuck for cases where there were multiple internal voids. Cheers, Alex
