You definitely need to read your bible. The bible has hundreds of violent passages in it. Many passages condone rape, torture, slavery and more.

I've looked at the statistics thoroughly. I do not find a correlation between murder rates and the death penalty. That really isn't my argument though. I am not arguing that murder rates will go up or not. I am arguing that it is morally wrong for a society to take human life.
