This is a typical case of job's worth. Esther Rantzen would have had a field day. Insensitive and dogmatic legislation is often the cause of an injustice. What can the ordinary citizen do when such a clear case of myopia exists within a totally inflexible system. Always it is an innocent who has to suffer the consequences of ill thought out legislation which the legislators are then loathe to change for fear of loss of face. Can't someone see sense and let this poor animal go to a place of sanctuary.
