You made one extremely good comments in your video. You stated that "whatever you call it, Allah or God; it is still the same thing. I believe that a lot of Americans do not that they serve the same God, just in a different way. People mostly believe "Allah" is some different entity, while is just the Arabic for the word "God" in English. Even one of the leader of the Pentagon, our powerhouse of security said that "our God is greater than theirs". This just show how much stupidity still exist in the so called greatest country in the world. Osama Bin Laden is not a Muslim. Why, because he do not follow the rules of Islam. Islam is a religion of peace and do not encourage violence against innocent people. However, of course our media will address him as a Muslim. It just a way to turn the people against the reality of Islam, and it seems to be working,

You are right, Americans are not the only people that are self centered. However, Americans are the worst at being self centered. We are so used to being on the top that we have forgot about the people that we exploit on a daily basis. We all mourned when 9/11 occurred, but so did the rest of the world. But do we realize that in these middle east countries, there is a daily 9/11. Do you mourned about that or did you even think about it. I doubt it. We can blame it on the false media that only shows us one side of the story, but I believe we are now smart enough to think for yourself. We just choose not to care about the people in the middle east.

Yes, there definitely is a step two. We simply need to stop buying the chocolates made from slavery cocoa in order to fix the situation. You may be wandering where you will get your chocolate from and I have an answer for it. There are many different companies and business out there whose chocolate are guaranteed slave work free. You might think it is expensive, but it is actually cheaper than the name brand chocolates out here that has a hand in slavery in them. This step will definitely send a message to this chocolates companies that we are not willing to buy this slavery manifested chocolate. But I doubt that will ever happen.

I am pretty sure at least 90 percent of the class do not previously know about the slavery involved in the harvest of cocoa for slavery. I had an idea that the production of chocolate includes forced labor, but I never knew that it was in that magnitude. Sam Richards told every body in the class to eat a piece of chocolate. I could not even eat the first piece because I had an idea that some video on the history of cocoa and chocolate production was about to come on. I knew the amount of work required to process cocoa into chocolate because of my background. I remember back in Nigeria, my grand father had little cocoa farm. Harvesting the cocoa is hard enough, but it is just the beginning of the process. After the harvest, I remember that the cocoa had to be manually cut in half with a cutlass, which is very dangerous. The cutlass can literally cut someone's hand off. After that, the seeds have to be taking out of the fruit and God knows how many other steps that are going to happen after that.
After watching that video of the Ivorians who are slaves because of the cocoa, it brought a total silence in the class. People felt something in their heart and where at first not willing to eat the second piece of chocolate. But just a few minutes after the video, the sympathy wore off people face and they return to their normal chocolate loving self. It is a shame indeed. I am not saying that everyone should quit eating chocolate, but at least people should have the self respect of for the Ivorians of not eating that second piece of chocolate. In the video, one of the slave workers on the cocoa farm said that who ever is eating chocolate is like they are eating his flesh. I might not fully understand what he meant but at least we can show respect by not eating the second piece of chocolate. These people have been shedding sweat and blood on a daily basis for harvesting cocoa and the production of chocolate. They do not get paid anything and they have not even had the opportunity to the chocolate that we consume on a daily basis.
As for those who ate that second piece, it just shows how heartless this country is. If something do not affect us directly, we do not feel obligated to do something to change the situation, as long as we are benefiting from it. Another example, is our troops in the middle East. People barely question what are troops are really doing in the middle east because we are benefiting from it. We all felt sympathy for 9/11 and even today it is still a scar in our hearts. But what about the people in the Middle East? They experience 9/11 on a daily basis but only a few people have tried something to change the situation. We do not feel for them because they are not "our people". I just want people to feel outside the box. The world might actually be a "better place".

Learning Chinese will be a great step forward in America. Weather we like it or not, the Chinese is now a big art of the world economy, and we will have to also speak their language in order to assure good connection between the two business. But the problem is, can the students in United States learn fluent Chinese? Students are struggling enough learning Spanish, a language that has a lot of similarity to English itself. Chinese has little similarities to English, and the accent is totally different from English. I think it is a good idea to insert Chinese in to one of the languages that Americans should learn, but I just do not see it happening.

It is one thing for a game to have sexual preference and it another for the game to be the focus point of rape. Like, I cannot believe that there are actually people out there who think that it is okay for these type of games to be produce, talk less of people actually buying and promoting the game. Yes, there are pretty violent games out there, but there I pretty sure that there is not a game out there that has the caliber of the taboo that this game has. Which is probably why it only sells in a place such as Japan. I am even more disappointed in the government of Japan because they definitely have the power to stop such an act. Rape is something that should ever be encouraged! Not only is this game promoting rape but it is only degrading to women in so many different levels. "I fully understand women rights activists concern that these video games will send a message to men encouraging this type of behavior towards women, when in fact its absolutely inappropriate". The game producers and makers claim that the game will keep rapist playing the game instead of looking for a woman to rape but, this actually does not reduced their drive to go out and rape somebody. I actually think that this encourages more rape act in the community. In fact, it is encouraging more youths to get involved in the act of raping women. If this type of game gets into a childs hand, what does it promote.
Whether we like it or not, teenagers are going to be the vast amount of the population that plays video games on a regular basis. They are the population that have the donates the most time and effort into video games all over the world. In the case of the rape games in Tokyo, Japan, I do not see a difference. Even if only an adult that purchase this game, I am almost certain that the teens would find a way to get their hands on these type of games. So what type of influence does the game have in the life of the teens? The game producer might say that it will help keep the teens away from doing the real thing but I completely disagree. I actually think that this game would encourage people to commit rape without feeling remorseful because it has become a part of their daily life.
What about the respect for the women? I understand that there are cultures out there that does not respect a women like the United States does but a rape game has gone too far! For the people who buy the game, do they ever think about their mothers, sisters, and other female relatives? Do they not find it sick to being playing such a game knowing what it means in reality? I guess it does not phase these people like I do. Maybe it is because of how I was raised up and the respect that I have for females. The ultimate result of this game will be the rise of rapist wherever the game is legal. Games like Grand Theft Auto have increased the violence rate in America since they have been produced, so this sort of game will not be different. I do not care much for the profit that is being made over the game collection. This game have showed me how the government care less about the rights of women in places such as Japan. I surely hoe that this taboo game would be banned soon, for the good of their society.

He has a few good opinions, but most of what he said made absolutely no sense. When he brought up illegal immigrant, he stated that they are a problem. If not for this so called illegal immigrants, America would not be functioning like it is today. This so called illegal immigrants are the one that get the the dirty job that nobody else want done in this country. While they are doing these horrible jobs, they are getting paid what the citizens would reject in a heart beat. So, are illegal immigrants really a problem? Think again! The guy also said that the "legal" citizens of the United States are not causing any problems. If this is so, who are the majority of being getting in trouble in United States? He did not bring up the fact that we are invading other people's country but yet these illegal immigrants are the enemy. He guy clearly has an average American brain, which is not that for from stupidity.

Yes, i understand why some people are upset and offended by the census. But can we really blame the makers of the census. The census will never be able to cover the race in America just simply because it is too many races. So, the census have no choice but to categorize people. I understand that some people are offended that is as Negro as one of the option on the census. But why are people mad and upset? Believe it or not there are black people out there who only refer to themselves as a "Negro" and nothing else. This people are usually old African American generation who identified as a Negro back in the days. It might seem shocking that they refer to themselves as Negro, but its true and there is nothing the census can do about it but to have it as an option to get the accurate population.

We all have our own thoughts on Affirmative Action before the class. I feel like the colored people in the class were more aware of the real reason of Affirmative Action and those who benefits from it. Women are the majority of the population who benefited from the Affirmative Action. I was not surprised by the results and I do know that the vast majority of the women who benefits are white women. After all, white women do make up a large percentage in women population in the United States. I am pretty sure that majority of the white people in the class were shocked in when they heard that white women were really the one benefiting from Affirmative Action. I noticed that the colored people in the class felt relieved and compelled when Sam actually spilled the truth on Affirmative Action.
Affirmative Action is designed to hel0p the less fortunate people in the society and the system beliefs that white women are actually the one in need of help. I am not sexist but I am pretty sure that the colored people in the United States needed more help than white women because they are the group that typically start at the dead end of the road. The system have stated affirmative action as a way to help the less fortunate. So, if white women are the less fortunate people of America, what are the colored people? These white women are getting married to white man, so where do the colored race falls? This system has been designed to rotate the countries wealth among the white people in the nation.
Yes, some blacks and Hispanic people are receiving help from the government, but it his much slower and lower that a typical American actually thinks. The system has been built so that the blacks and hispanics will stay at the bottom while whites continue to strive at the top of the economy. From the wording od the definition, Affirmative Actions seemed to be and should be helping the people of color. People of clor, especially the blacks have went through a lot for this counrty to be at the bottom of the economy. After slavery, the system was designed to keep black people working under the white mans will even though he or she was "free". How can you be free, when you depend on another race to survive? Nevertheless, it is not the fault of the black man that he is at the bottom of the economy. The blame should still be on the white system beacause of the way it was desinged. The system is now more of a social and economic standing. Those who are at already at the top will tend to stay at the top and those who are at the bottom will tend to stay at the bottom. So when a white man tries to use Affirmative Action as an excuse for a black man that achieved something, I want him or her to rethink their outlook on the situation. It is a shame a portion of the white population was not in class to hear and understand the true meaning of Affirmative Action. Because, I really want this to be spread around campus and the country if possible. We all need to how this so called "Home Of The Brave" is still built on favoritism of those at the top. Yes, this country hads not changed from from the past, it now just a different way of approaching the events that occured in the past.

No, this does not change my mind on my views of Affirmative Action. I have already knew that Affirmative Action was designed to benefit women and I am not surprised that white women are the one who benefited the most from it. After all, the majority of the women population in the United States belongs to the white race. I am glad that Sam Richards explained the situation to the class because I knew that vast amount of the white people in the class always thought that Affirmative Action is geared towards the benefits of the people of color. It was too bad that a good amount of the class were not there to learned what Affirmative Action really is. Nevertheless, I feel like more whites are now rethinking their views of Affirmative Action after that class.
