This is not about religion, it is about liberty. The government is trying to force private companies to provide things for "free". Carney talks like a tool. Realty is truly on vacation when this guy thinks. it's vital for women no matter where they work to have access to free preventive care, including birth control.. Really? Why are they entitled to "free" preventative care? What fantasy land does this guy live in? In the real world, everything has a cost. If someone get something for "free", someone else had to pay for it. I don't want to use my family's money to buy birth control for a stranger. And what, exactly, is abortafacient birth control preventing? The answer is life.

Sad, but true. The way to combat this is through education. Perhaps you can let your Catholic friends know that support of the Democratic party is support of their pro-abortion agenda. That is a fact. Next, guide them to the codification of their morality, the Catechism of the Catholic Church, part 3. They only need read paragraph 2272 to get the message. Catholics may not pick and choose what they accept in the areas of faith and morals. If the Catechism is not clear, perhaps a chat with their confessor about the topic of supporting pro-abortion candidates may help.

Trap, A large problem is that a vast majority of Catholics are under-catechized. They don't know the Faith. They only need read the Catechism, in particular section III. For example, the Catechism in paragraph 2272 clearly states that any Catholic that supports direct abortion separates themselves from the Church. Seeing this, any Catholic would automatically know that the Democratic Party is anti-Catholic because if one supports their pro-abortion agenda, they separate themselves from the Church. And for a Catholic, separation from the Church is separation from Christ. There are 5 non-negotiables for Catholics to select candidates: 1. Catholics must oppose pro-abortion candidates 2. Catholics must oppose pro-euthenasia candidates 3. Catholics must oppose pro-embryonic stem cell research candidates. Embryonic stem cell research is a euphemism for human experimentation. The world found it horrible when Josef Mengele did it in the 1940s, BTW 4. Catholics must oppose pro-human cloning candidates. 5. Catholics must oppose pro-homosexual "marriage" candidates. The reason is that all such unions have a 0% chance of engendering new life. Of course, if two adults want to share their material possessions, that is an entirely different matter and can be handled without this bastardization of marriage. Another problem is that the term "social justice" is being used to market Communist ideas. The Church needs to do a better job of combating this.
