I'm sure the gas thing was not intended in the way interpreted. I don't think the Jewish thing is anything more than a handy verbal tool to beat Spurs fans with. I'm pretty sure David Gold, David Sullivan and even Karen Brady are all Jewish as well as Tottenham's directors. In my experience, most WH fans are quite indifferent to race or creed because we have been a very mixed bunch in the east end for so many years.

No honestly Danny_C. We really haven't had worse than Kovac for quite a while. He is niot only a ball watcher but a ball chaser and cannot pass.

Tal Ben Haim hasn't had the best of the last 3 seasons but he was quality at Bolton. I think we have to trust Avram Grant here. TBH came out and criticised the appointment of Grant at Chelsea yet he went on to join him at Portsmouth and now WH so Grant clearly sees a talent there.

I suspect the imminent TBH signing is as a replacement for Upson who has his mind elsewhere...

So Zola knows "that we have the ability to achieve our objectives."

Wasn't his objective European football at the start of the season?

Chrischris - you are over reacting in wanting Zola sacked and CelticHammer is spot on with what he says. Excellent posts CH. This club let Ginge go for £5m and then let Neill go because they forced a wage reduction on him because we are broke and working from hand to mouth. Owners need to give a manager the tools to do the job and all our owners do is take them away and replace with cheap players no-one else wants.

Would we have lost that game with Ginge and Neil playing? No way. Would we have lost if we had a second striker to score goals? No way. Give Zola and Nani the tools and they will do the job. This Intermarket consortium are our big hope and if it is as serious a bid as News of the World say, with quotes from Intermarket's newly appointed CEO appointed to oversee the takeover, then we will soon be back on track without sacking anyone. Calling for people to be sacked is the kind of mentality you'd expect from deluded spuds fans. Not West Ham!

If we keep on struggling then Straumur are going to want to ditch us as soon as possible. If they end up with us losing our Prem place then we won't be worth the debts WHUFC owes and it will be pointless for them to keep us. Sell Green, Parker and Upson and get maybe £20m but that will definitely consign us to relegation. If I was Straumur I'd take £40m here and now but that is a bigger problem for them. It means they have to write off the other £60m or so as losses which for a newly formed company they can't afford to do. Keep us ticking over and as we pay debts off we get more and more valuable....as long as we don't get relegated. I can't see them selling us and more likely if Zola doesn't sort things out he'll go and be replaced by Clarke or Curbishley to settle his court case against us maybe? Just a possibility that occured to me.

Our problem is we are not playing to the team's strengths. We have one striker, one freebie Mexican we haven't seen yet, a kid that has burst on the scene and an Italian 2nd div player. Jiminez is a skilful midfielder but not up to speed and playing 4-3-3 is a naive joke!

4-4-1-1 is what we should be playing then we will have a chance of logging up points and finishing mid-table. All the time Zola beats himself up by trying to play the Italian way, we are getting deeper into trouble. It's really not that difficult and what is amazing to me, is that Zola is bringing it on himself. Why did we need to switch to 4-3-3? Answer - Because it's what Zola wants.

We've got one striker in Cole. A perfect link player in Diamanti. A good choice of wide midfielders in Jiminez, Stanislas, Collison and Behrami. We've a choice between Parker, Noble, Kovac, Collison and Behrami in centre midfield. So let's play that way Zola!

It seems from this mornings Mirror that West Ham owes around £80m and is still losing aound £20m a year so better get used to it guys. We aren't about to go out and buy more players come January. More likely we will sell Upson and/or Green. There's no point blaming Straumur as they were stitched up just as badly as WHUFC were by Bjorgolfur Gudmunsson, a man who made a living out of running companies into the ground. Unfortunately, that includes West Ham.

I didn't ignore the Parker comments CH. Did you not understand what this says and means? "Maybe I was wrong about your reasons for turning on our captain..." That acknowledged the Parker comments and my point was, that is not the issue.

The club may decide to sell Upson in January but it isn't certain that we'd get £12m for him otherwise he would have left in the summer. The only rumours I heard were a £4m offer from Harry Redknapp! Would you rather have £5m or Collins? £8m or Upson? Money or a football team? And do you know what CH? I don't really care if Upson is showing loyalty to the club in your eyes because you seem to have a peculiar definition of loyalty where you can criticise who and what you want but claim to be a loyal fan! Upson is a pro seeing his contract out and he doesn't complain nearly always plays solidly and Tomkins is a different player alongside him. If Upson doesn't want to re-sign nearly two years away from expiry of his contract that is his perogative! If he shouldn't be our captain then are you criticising Zola for another poor decision?
