I actually agree with a lot of what you say. They need to decide what they mean by conservative first.

Is it pro religious dogma? Is it pro military? Is it pro-american? Is it pro individual freedom?

Yay! Another Conservative atheist. I have long argued that it makes no since for an atheist to be a liberal. An atheist who is liberal is just rejecting one form of group-think for another. That real or perceived group-think is usually what made the Atheist in the first place.

BTW. I and many like us are the most pro-christian folks you'll find. Just because I am an atheist doesn't mean I don't recognize that Judeo-Christian philosophy has shaped a large part of my mores.
