Good lord. The reason Hong Kong and Singapore even have a great economy is because sweat shops, child labor and working conditions are either not regulated or poorly regulated. Also, its the American consumer that's propping up the base industries in developing nations.

Nothing you said in that post is based on fact. And, if it was once based on fact, it's so far removed now that's it's utter rubbish.

It's pretty ignorant to blame any one politician or political party for the recession. The blame goes all around, from congress to Reagan, Bush, Clinton and Bush, and to businesses and even the average American.

The very reason business is regulated in the US was for the exact same reason China and other emerging nations are prospering: Child labor, sweatshops, dangerous working conditions, substandard pay, etc were all the rage in America in the early 20th century. Emerging nations can't sustain this sort of economic development at the cost of its people because its people won't suffer it for much longer, just as Americans forced the government to enact regulations protecting workers.

Right on, Hong Kong. Sweatshops and child labor. You totally win the People's Medal for Capitalism.

The GOP had six years to reform healthcare and didn't do a thing.

I seriously doubt that, in Australia, "anyone with even a modest income" could afford to fly to the US for healthcare.

And, if healthcare in the US is so great, why are so many seniors forced to cross over to Canada just to buy affordable medication?
