I saw a documentary on Woodstock awhile back. It was disgusting. Needles laying in the mud, barefooted hippies walking around and sleeping in trashbags. People rooting through garbage for scraps, stealing others' food, screwing each other without regard to who was watching.

I never understood how those people could be happy in such miserable conditions. I suppose it's like a pig thinking the cat is evil for not wanting to lay in the mud and slop with him.

I don't think much of anything enters their mind, other than "mo' money!"

Like how Wesley "Vampire-hunter" Snipes went to jail for not paying taxes, but Charlie "Wranglin'" Rangle gets censured, or "Tiny" Tim Geithner gets off scott free.

Lame.

I'm sure you know this, but the Constitution expressely forbids such action.

In U.S. Constitutional Law, the definition of what is ex post facto is more limited. The first definition of what exactly constitutes an ex post facto law is found in Calder v Bull (3 US 386 [1798]), in the opinion of Justice Chase:

1st. Every law that makes an action done before the passing of the law, and which was innocent when done, criminal; and punishes such action. 2d. Every law that aggravates a crime, or makes it greater than it was, when committed. 3d. Every law that changes the punishment, and inflicts a greater punishment, than the law annexed to the crime, when committed. 4th. Every law that alters the legal rules of evidence, and receives less, or different, testimony, than the law required at the time of the commission of the offense, in order to convict the offender.

"A participant in the call called on fellow activists to “Occupy Yourself”–that is, to exemplify in their own lives the changes that they would like to see in the world."

Hm. Sounds like how we Christians view Christ.

On the other hand, “Occupy Yourself" sounds like a good idea for these loons. "Go F*^K Yourself!"
