This is indeed the Weimar Republic all over again. The difference between Japan and the U.S. is that the Yen isn't the defacto currency of the world, therefore the Japanese don't have the ability to just print more. We can because of the use of the dollar. What would happen if China, Russia, OPEC, etc... decide to use different currencies? Where will all the printing lead to? Super-hyper Inflation just like pre-war Germany, where people used wheelbarrows to haul their money to pay for a loaf of bread. 10K% per month inflation.

Not profiling is simply PCness run amok. We are criminalizing air travel and soon to be bus and train because do you think the terrorists will only target planes?
