It's great that the Volt works well for you, beating the worthless govt test MPG. VW TDI also beats govt test MPG for others too who actually commute long distance daily. Even Chevy Suburban can easily beat the govt MPG numbers in certain driving condition. Point is to choose a vehicle that works best in your particular situation. Govt need to say out of telling people what to drive, among other things.

I actually do know how govt works, and we're in agreement that govt wastes a lot of money. However, we're also benefiting from a lot of govt funded projects so not everything govt does is a waste. Now you can move along...

Maybe should should come up for air once in a while. A private company like Solyndra, but one that receives grants AFTER they have proven their products. Like ALL other companies that supply our govt. IBM, Boeing come to mind.
