yes, career politicians are a problem, but they are more symptomatic of the deeper problem that makes career politicians the dug-in cronies that they are.

The system has been corrupted by all the things Sarah Palin mentions, so what are we going to do to correct the system? Merely vote a new personality into an office, or several personalities into several offices, and hope that THIS TIME an elevated mortal, or a handful of mortals, can magically put everything on the right track?

Or is it more realistic that we citizens need to engage our responsibility at a more substantial level?

Might I suggest you check out GOOOH.com -- it presents a manner for selecting and electing representatives through a system devoid of lobbyist money and the preferential treatment that is making our erst-while civil servants into a ruling political class. But voting in a new personality - Palin or anyone else - is not going to implement this level of correction that our political system needs It will only be done by enough members of this nation truly involving themselves in the political process in a way not experienced since the founding of our country. I like Sarah Palin fine. But she cannot fix what is broke here. Only Americans, in a collective sense, can do it.

4. The intrepid reporters were able to break open this corruption IN FIVE CITIES spanning FOUR STATES with less money than it takes for Nancy Pelosi to be chauffered from the Hill to her private jet at Dulles Airport.
