I agree with Rob- Especially after pounding through Mass Effect 2. Voice acting aside, DOA was exactly that. Art lacked any sort of inspiration and the game just felt dated. Talk about phoning it in!

Perhaps the word I was searching for was "surprise." Everyone knew it was in the pipes, but I don't recall seeing many people expecting it.
