Years ago, I had a cellphone jammer. I'd carry it in the pocket of my overcoat, walk down the aisle of the commuter rail in Boston, and knock loud people off their phones. They never knew what did it. I had lots of fun watching them re-dial their calls.

No, they don't realize it. They really don't. These evangelicals have a kind of hive mind. Once someone manages to convince them that they're in the same tribe, there is only one thing that can get 'em kicked out, and that's being g-a-y and male. (In public, that is. If a man does it like a dog with another man in private, that's okay, especially if they're both preachers. And if you're a lesbian, everything's okay as long as you make movies.)

Anything else goes. Murder, mayhem, drugs, hetero sex on the floor of the hotel ballroom, alcoholism, stealing, lying. You name it. As long as you're not (publicly) g-a-y you'll be in heaven, and no tribal member will ever question anything, no matter how obvious it is to everyone else.

Well come on, what's a show like "Dancing With the Stars" worth if it's not rigged? It's entertainment. I can't blame the network for this. It's all about the money. Shocking, ain't it?

Speaking of "conspiracies," exactly who is paying bloggers to destroy Sarah Palin? Come on, "Anna," you made the accusation, so back it up with evidence. Or are you just one more evangelical Christian who figures she can tell whatever lie pops into her head, knowing that she's accepted Jay-sus H. Christ as her personal savior and therefore will go to heaven no matter what the hell she does on earth?

As for the pregnancy, I actually hope it's false and Bristol just tuned into another fat white trash American cow. The Palins really aren't people who ought to be bringing more kids into the world. In fact, if Bristol does what a lot of you people do and sneaks off for an abortion while continuing to pump out the "pro-life" junk in public, she'll still have done the world a favor.
