Damn, I wish I knew there was a cupcake cart nearby, I'd have been all over that. And that was one hell of a game. I think everyone was outside for the bottom of the 9th. I'm glad my A's won, because they got destroyed the next day :/

QAQN : Geek Dads Weekly #81 - Rapturous

So, the guy behind the Rapture also owns a small public-access TV station & my friend worked there. Until after the rapture didn't happen, and the guy had a stroke, & the shareholders fired all PT employees since he'd clearly not be able to put on the show he did for awhile. Also, a funny child "I wanna go home" story... a friend of mine's dad is white and her mom is Chinese. She looks pretty white but her little sister looks more Chinese. When her sister was maybe 5, they were at Pier 39 and her sister had wandered away to watch the magic show. She was sitting in the front row and her dad came over to get her because it was time to go home, and she didn't want to leave so she started screaming "No, I don't wanna go!!" and the people around her - including the magician on stage - were close to calling the cops on her dad since he really didn't look related to her lol. Security was called over, but by that time her mom had also heard the commotion & came over & confirmed yes this is my child, this is her dad, she's just being 5 & throwing a fit.

QAQN : Geek Dads Weekly #74 - We're Not Really Geeks After All

I beg to differ that affiliate marketing folks don't work on the weekends. I think that's when some people do the most work, so they're too busy to tweet. Clearly you've got folks like me that aren't working for themselves and work for a company a "normal" arrangement with set hours or whatnot, but I think most people just have their heads down working on the weekend or are laying low lol. You made me wonder how much I've accumulated in AdSense (I do know generally where I'm running it) and between that & my GAN earnings, $92! W00t, we're rich! And if you're going to take a break and throw in some music, you should throw in an ad :) Mr. Podcasting Consultant :P

See, and that's half the danger here... that the domestic abuse has been forgotten about in favor of "good time Charlie". Here's just the latest, aside from apparently locking hookers in his closet at the Plaza hotel. http://articles.cnn.com/2009-12-25/entertainment/...

Briefly re: Sheen.... the difference between Sheen & Tom Cruise is that Cruise wasn't proven on drugs like Sheen. And Cruise isn't a documented domestic abuser, either. Don't get me wrong, I do think his meltdown is fairly hilarious, but I don't think anyone should cut him any slack.

James Seligman : To My New Affiliate Managers:

To play devil's advocate, I'd argue that a lot of new affiliate managers might also be new to affiliate marketing and not know how to look up what you've done in the past. So that said, I think you'd agree that even a simple, non form lettered "Hi I'm your new AM, let me know if you need anything. Just want to make sure you have my contact info" type email is better than a really lame form or nothing at all. My recent post Help Support St Thomas Becket Academy
