Hi. ____I reread the Declaration of Independance the other day on this really great website:__http://www.ushistory.org/Declaration/signers/inde... started reading the bios of the signers. I was humbled to see that several of these men died pennyless. They sacrificed their businesses, their fortunes, and I imagine family members. ____What are you willing to sacrifice for this country? I am not sure I like the answer to my own question. I can read a blog and rant all day, but that did nothing. It was a non action. ____If you point your finger at another, you have three fingers pointing at yourself. I am pointing my finger at the Government right now, and realizing that I have done little to help them see the error of thier ways. I have never donated to a campaign, or volunteered my time to one either. I will go to the Tea Party in Las Vegas on the 15th. I hope I understand what your post is trying to convey, however, I think as informed citizens, we see our country about to fall off the cliff, and rather then jump on the bus that is heading over the edge, we need to scream "LOOK OUT" Mandate or no mandate. I think Hitler had a mandate, it means nothing based on the principles of sound policy. There is barely any difference between the leadership between Democrats and Republicans. The party has moved away from the values of conservatism. Republicans have no one to blame but themselves.

Yes, Obama is popular, but so is Britney Spears. I think that we have all seen the youtube videos in which the Obama voters did not know what any of the issues were, or who was in control of congress, etc. The general public is not informed. Surely you are not suggesting a doctrine be made around the ideals of the ignorant and uninformed. That does not promote leadership, nor does it inspire the masses. Lets not forget that several campaign promises have already been broken, so the popularity will run out. Who thought Bush would wind up so unpopular, when he was just as popular as Obama after 9.11?

Okay, okay, okay, hot button issue, has been for 200 years. Lets put this on the shelf, and stay focused on the real issue. Politicians are the real enemy and corruption, not our views on seperation of church and state.

Glenn has inspired me to check things out for myself, and I am now on a journey. We all love our country, and the principles it was founded on. We are the ones who are responsible for keeping our leaders honest, and limiting thier power. Someone recently told me after my husband passed away, that" sometimes the only helping hand you are going to find is the one at the end of your sleeve. " We can do this, we will do this, and we have to do this.
