Big Journalism : Rift Between Current TV and Olbermann Heats Up; Exec: 'Everybody Is Replaceable'

"Ask Beck" Beck would need to break the news to Keith Olbermann that to produce an internet news program there has to be a group of people who both A) want to listen to you and B) can't get a similar product somewhere else. The number of people who belong to set A and set B relative to Olbermann isn't nearly large enough to pay for what he used to have at MSNBC. Olbermann is the anti-Beck and there just isn't anything notable about Olbermann that warrants TV news or internet news to put up with the treatment Olbermann inflicts on his employer.

Big Peace : Santorum Schools Yet Another MSM Journalist on Obama's Appeasement - This Time, NBC's David Gregory

Someone should send Mr. Obama and Mr. Santorum to a remedial class on the US Constitution...  Article I, Section 8, Clause 11 of the United States Constitution, sometimes referred to as the War Powers Clause, vests in the Congress the power to declare war, in the following wording: [Congress shall have Power...] To declare War, grant Letters of Marque and Reprisal, and make Rules concerning Captures on Land and Water;

Big Peace : Where's the Rest of the Libertarian Movement on Radical Islam?

You continue to call people names while ignoring the cost of the current government occupations overseas. If there is to be a war it must at a minimum be lawfully declared. It must have a declared purpose. Until then I encourage you to spend all of your money on a project that exposes and eliminates radical Islam.

Right Condition : Senator Coburn speaks at the Debt Commission

Let me draw one possibility. The Bush tax cuts expire. Unemployment rises. Democrats say we need more government spending programs (job for teachers, jobs for police and firefighters, jobs for infrastructure, jobs, jobs, JOBS!). Democrats say that the problem is deficit spending. The Democrats and the 85% of the media hostile to smaller government convinces the public that what we need is anything but lower spending. The Democrats are still proposing more spending programs such as Unemployment Insurance V (subtitled More and More Spending is Good) and from what I gather the Republicans are willing to cave in on this latest spending measure. So the congress will pass all the current spending, plus Unemployment Insurance V. Oh yea and then tax rates don't go up (for some as yet unknown period of time). That doesn't look like a win to me. Will the Republicans authorize another temporary spending measure (e.g. all current spending continues) past December 18th? I have no reason to think otherwise which means that we have more status quo spending and no spending reductions. Let me know when I should get optimistic here. The internet plus Fox News has done pretty well so far but there are plenty of mislead people out there and they will still be following the folks who have played the shell game with "what is the problem" for a very long time.

"no one has actually proposed a legitimate solution" If someone is claiming this then they haven't put in enough effort looking for solutions or they are only considering "legitimate" solutions. I say it is time to locate some illegitimate solutions if you are going to support flawed but legitimate solutions. Regretful support is the operational mode of those who will apologize the US government into another year of higher taxes and continued excessive government spending. Until I hear that the Department of Education is going to get abolished I say Coburn needs to look for some better solutions. The solutions are out there if Coburn or whomever he employs to locate solutions gets prodded a bit more.
