Jim Tressel is CONSERVATIVE!!! No doubt about that. Can someone actually tell me how many times we came out on 1st down with the ball in USC territory and we ran on first down? Look at what happend when we started the game with passing! It was working. when Saine came out as a Full back and went for a pass, it worked. What did OSU do, they went away from what was working. Boon had some great runs to start, but when it wasn't working, we kept trying to make it work. The option never worked and yet they kept trying to make it work. More or less beating a dead horse over and over again. Pryor will develop. he went from being relaxed after the interception to rushing everything. Next year is his year. They played Texas good last year and USC much better this year. USC will drop one or two games along the way.

The Ohio State Buckeye's are not the most over rated team in college football. I am not one who will point fingers at any other team either. Jim Tressel has developed a great program and will continue to do so. He is a winner and I can't tell you how many games I have watched in the past where the Buckeyes could have run the score up, but Tressel just isn't that type of coach. He is a conservative coach. Ontop of that, the more points, the better ratings. Well with Tressel that the helm, you will never see that. They may not deserve the ranking that they get, but for anyone to say they do not deserve to be in the top 25, have another shot or two of jagermeister.

I felt like he did all these great things to honor Navy, but then turned around and made them look like they didn't stand a chance becasue we are bringing in our 2nd string QB in the 2nd quarter. Some horrible calls once again and he toyed with a team that they should have beat by 30 points or more. USC is going to be one of their toughest games all year and it doesn't matter if they had a linemen as their starting QB. They are stacked 5 deep in every position and they are fast. As far as I am concerned, take a chance this game and let Pryor call the plays out on the field. He is suppose to be the leader and I know that on 4th and 2, he is going to have the ball in his hands and that is where it should be.

I have to agree with all of your comments. Go for it on 4 and 2 is fine, just don't telegraph it. A nice fake up the gut and letting Pryor roll out either side is going to give me a lot better feeling than trying to run up the gut. If the O-line can move anyone, anywhere they want, then go up the gut, but they couldn't. The funny thing about all of this is that they started the game off with a reverse on the kick off. I was so excited. I couldn't wait to see what we had in store. Then shortly after realized nothing has changed. Tressle is the first coach I have seen in a very long time bring a 2nd string QB in the second quarter. It was always my understanding that the 2nd String usually doesn't see any playing time unless the number one guy gets hurt or the game is out of reach.
