HI:) Please don't get take this the wrong way… I'm really just here to have friendly debates and conversations. I was wondering what the atheist view of all the fulfilled Bible prophecy is. Do you think its coincidence? Etc… Example of fulfilled Prophecy The Babylonian captivity 2) The exact length of the Babylonian captivity 3) The end of the Babylonian captivity at the hands of a Persian king named Cyrus 4) The prophecies of the “suffering Messiah” 5) The destruction of the Temple in A.D. 70 6) The disbursement of Israel among the nations (the Diaspora) 7) The gradual re-gathering of Israel as a nation 8) The re-establishment of Israel as a nation in a single day 9) Israel as a “burdensome stone” among the nations during the last days Check out: http://brittgillette.com/WordPress/?page_id=6

Atheist Revolution : Did Jesus Abolish the Old Testament?

Continued..."....he asked him, Of all the commandments which is the most important? The most important answered the Lord, our God, the Lord is one. Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strenth. The second is this: Love your neighbor as your self. There is no commandment greater then these." Mark 12: 28- 31 Hope it helps clear that up

I feel the need to repost this here: I just wanted to add that Christians do not ignore the Old Testament. We use and value the entire Bible. The Old Testament is referred to as the Old Covenant. “The Old Covenant documented the instructions given to all of Israel and their failure to live up to what they had promised to do. They had been instructed by God’s servants and had witnessed numerous divine miracles from God. However, without His Holy Spirit leading and guiding them from within, they could not obey God, much less overcome weaknesses of the flesh.” This is from http://www.thercg.org/bics/rcgbic-014.html The Old Testament shows us WHY we need a Savior;)” The Old Testament has a point. There is a lot of great things in the OT however if we continue reading into the New Testament once God came ot earth he said the two most importnat things from the OT is this: continued below

Atheist Revolution : Darwinism is Not a Religion

Hello, I just want to have a *friendly* conversation. Anyway, there are gaps! Please LOOK AGAIN! Yes, Darwinism TEACHES that it is a steady stream when in reality its not. If it really was a gradual evolution of life forms over a long period of time then you would expect to find this gradual evolution of one life form to another to be recorded in the fossil record. There are NO examples of in-between animals that I have seen. It seems the transitional forms are missing. I believe in natural selection. Natural selection produces an enormous amount of variety WITHIN the different types of plants and animals.

If anyone wants to read a good book about evolution/Creation read THE NEW ANSWERS BOOK 1 by KEN HAM Also check out A CASE FOR CHRIST/FAITH AND A CASE FOR EVOLUTION by Lee Strobel. They will make you think.. These books will explain the science and history in Christianity. There is proof and there is truth.

Atheist Revolution : What I Like Most About Christmas

Hi. I am aware that I may not change your views. That is fine. I just want to share mine; I am aware that Dec 25th is not the day he was born. Actually, I have been taught that it was believed to be about 6 months after Passover. I don’t think anyone knows for sure. And yes I am aware that that date was first celebrated as a pagan holiday. It is suggested that the Roman Christians simply decided to celebrate the birth of Jesus on a day that would intentionally compete a pagan feast. It has become a Christian holiday. It is no longer a pagan holiday. Again, On Christmas Christians celebrate Christ’s birth and many non-Christians focus more on the other parts of Christmas. No where in the Bible does it say “Celebrate my birth on this day” We have made the choice. It is our day to do this in an extra special way. I by no means think that getting a PS3, decorating a tress and ham dinners are part of Gods word or commandments. It’s just a part of our celebration;) PEACE

Hello again;) Well, Honestly I can’t speak for all “Christians”. For example, there are many things I disagree with in the Catholic churches and Seventh Day Advent churches. My beliefs are based solely on what the The Bible says, not the traditions of man or churches. I also think many Christians are not experts on The Bible. They are constantly learning and growing. It’s hard to know EVERYTHING and have every answer under your belt unless you are a Pastor. I just recently learned about how the Old and New Testament worked and how the Bible is written in different styles because it is written by different people. Now, that I know, it makes a lot of sense. What verses are your friends confused about? Maybe I can help clear that up.

Atheist Revolution : What I Like Most About Christmas

Christmas is the day Christians celebrate His day of Birth..the day our God became a man to show us his love. We would not pay attention to him any other way so he had to come to earth. If God is God, he can do that. We fully believe and celebrate this. “Christmas trees, Santa Claus, decorations, exchanging gifts, and the many other seasonal traditions that most of us observe are wonderful ways for family and friends to mark this time of year. What we must all take care to remember is that these customs, enjoyable as they are, ultimately have nothing to do with the true meaning of Christmas.” Many non-Christians and Christians follow these traditions because its fun....If we took it all away Christians would still celebrate this day and others would not. It’s a special day regardless, it's the day to celebrate his birth, hence the name Christmas. We want to keep it CHRISTmas;) Hope that helps.

Good point. "The modern English word Christmas comes from the Old English Christes Maesse (Christ Mass), the name of the service of Holy Communion that commemorates Christ's birth. Familiar names for Christmas in other languages -- Navidad (Spanish), Natale (Italian), Natal (Portuguese), and Noël (French) -- are derived from Dies Natalis, Latin for "Day of the Birth." <a href="http://www.stpaulskingsville.org/christmas.htm" target="_blank">http://www.stpaulskingsville.org/christmas.htm continued below...

Hello, Thought I would put my 2 cents in...even though most people might not care on here:) It might be nice to get another perspective. I think Chistians just get a little upset when they see CHRIST being taken out of CHRISTmas because that is what its about for us. People who don't beleive in Chist still celebrate it and ok whatever,,,But this is a CHRISTian holiday so just leave us alone...Set up your tree and say Happy Holidays but we will say Merry CHRISTmas because thats what it is. It means a lot to us. Christmas has become very commercail but thats the ways of the world. Its not what matters most to us. :)

Atheist Revolution : How Many Christians Really Believe What They Claim?

I think there are a lot of Christians who fail by being "bad" EVERYONE SINS!! EVEN CHRISTIANS!!! That is the point. Noone is perfect. We need a Savior because we fail! The differance is if a person is following CHrist they should know and feel in their heart that they could have done better.SO, they ask for forgiveness. They stive to follow CHrist. We fail and fail and fail. But, God forgves. He never hold on to it or hold a grudge. We dont have to feel guilt. God wants us to see that we could do better and try harder!
