Oh man! I'm leaving on a short term mission trip to Germany on Tues 3/23. Amazon shipped my books yesterday - with some luck, they'll get here before I leave so I can read it on the plane... c'mon UPS!!!

Wow! I wish that message would stick with today's youth (i.e. my daughters) the way it did with you!

One thing that struck me from "The Shack" (which BTW is 100% less funny than this blog) was when the dude (I'm not too good with details, like names) is expecting God & Jesus to do their daily devotions on day 2 after having done it on day 1, and one of them (again, details...) says something like "it's not about the routine or the ritual..."

This would be a much better comment if I were at home where my book is and could actually get some of it right, but I think most of you will know what I mean...

I see God's glory and beauty in the sky: sunsets, sunrises, falling snow, stars, the moon, the sun. In nature: birds, flowers, trees. But mostly in my children - especially in the unquestioning faith of the little ones...

I have Col 3:23-24 on my wall - as a result of being under-appreciated by a company in the midst of downsizing. There used to be an underground, until they all took "the package" and left. Now I'm all alone. I think. Maybe I should start sending up flares to see if there are any of us left...
