Sean, where did you find the information on the cost of text books? I own a Kindle and the average price I pay for a brand new book is 60% off! I would assume that the same would be of textbooks, after-all a huge cost of a book is the paper itself. Therefore, if textbooks are priced similarly, by the student's second year (if not the end of the first) they would start to see a savings.

Plus, they are much easier to carry around :)

This notion has been on our minds as well as we continue to develop our software. Thank you for you thoughts. On languages, after our initial release our goal is to include the ability to teach and support multiple languages.
